Finally Fritshci designed something new for the first time in 20 years 
The debate will begin when people actually get the chance to ski them.
Looks like a nice competitor to the main dynafit / plum range.

There's some non-skiing samples coming in to the UK in the next week or two. If they are available in January I'm not sure if dealers are going to commit without seeing a working binding in advance. The Dynafit Beasts & Marker Lords are both new this season & have only just arrived but I've had actual an working bindings of each since February so I'd had them a few weeks to play with them before I needed to place orders on the manufacturers.

yes their old designs have not changed much, but they are not actually late to the tech binding game, the dynafit patent has not long run out!

^ dynafit patents ran out circa 2007/08.
G3 onyx, la Sportiva, Plum, Trab tech binders all been out for a few years.
the original Diamir was a great binding : in 2001!
Fritschi have been amazingly slow to react to both Marker and Dynafit trends in last 5 years.
Though this looks good on paper.

to be fair, the Beast is the only one which has really brought something new to the party - ie elasticity. this looks to be going that way too so if it works, it's quite promising. the lack of elasticity is the main reason why I would not ski tech bindings full time right now
