Which resorts are closest please? Flights booked, just need to decide on a resort! Preferably within a 3 hour drive.
Thanks Snowheads.

Cervinia is about 2 hours - give or take 20 minutes either way.
Gressoney is a similar distance. Access to the Monterosa area. Great off piste when the snow is good.

I'm pretty sure I flew into Milan when I went to Sauze, which was about an hour or so transfer.

Gressoney +1. Huge area. Intermediate and off-piste heaven. No nightlife though; village small and quiet. Re. Bormio - unless you're a beginner you'll ski it in a morning.

Fly to Malpensa, over the Simplon pass, to Zermatt. Just shy of 3 hours if you hoof it.
That's the best use of a Milan airport.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

FTFY
I've been to Zermatt loads of times and love it but I'd never consider flying to Milan. Monterosa on the other hand...
