Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I was watching Marc Marquez 'backing it in' during the last MotoGP race and thought that there is some cross over with current GS ski racing. Depending on the line Marquez is using an aggressive sideways drift to the Apex and then finding grip for the exit. Lots of fore\aft & lateral balance skills at work, plus some interesting comparisons through the turn.

On my list of things to do is a blog article exploring any lessons ski racers can draw from motorcycle racing. It'll probably be aimed at people new to racing & training for the Eurotest but I believe that race coaches could benefit from taking a fresh perspective too.

Marquez - 98 if you are looking on you tube.

Bud Heishman, who is on Epic, a bootfitter in Reno and a ski instructor I think has written a bunch of stuff on this and certainly a colleague of his was relating to me once how he uses a lot of motorbike inspired themes in his ski instruction (for appropriate audiences).

I must confess, I meant to post this in Apres but clicked the wrong button Laughing Laughing Laughing

But I agree with AndAnotherThing.., I have found that looking at terrain/road surface, getting a feel for what is under ski/tyre, feeling grip and slide etc share a lot of similarities between the two pastimes .
