Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hedgehogs are seriously cool. I rescued a family of four baby ones (hanky at the ready . . .) who were hanging around their squashed mum by the side of the road !
Unfortunately, I only go one to adulthood (with the help of a local vet hedgehog specialist and ewe's milk - they cannot metabolise cow's milk)
They where tiny, with soft new spines and realy cute.

Cedric,

With me it was the other way round. I rode a Motorbike for years and remember being told that if I was going to come off, try to relax and curl up a little. The best advice I was given was to 'look at my feet' because it's easy to remember and makes you round your shoulders.

Anyway one time I had the classic, car driver pulls out of junction 5 feet in front of me, "Sorry mate, didn't see you". The bike hit his rear wheel arch and I went over the top landing on the other side. I did remember to look at my feet and suffered only minor bruising (the bike was another story). These days on skis when I can tell I'm going down, I just go with it, look at my boots, and don't get hurt (so far). Smile

The one time I did get hurt (torn knee ligament) was getting off a chairlift and doing a 'reverse snow plough' where my ski's went in opposite directions. It was a slow fall and the bindings didn't release. My knee was sore for weeks. Never have fully relaxed on charlifts ever since. rolling eyes
