Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

geetee, sounds like a fab holiday! So glad you liked Les Contamines Very Happy The 360 degree view up at the top of the lift here is really, really lovely so hopefully you can hook up with iglou if you're back there next year on a sunny (not bizarre saharan sandstorm day!) and soak them up… the views from the deck chairs outside the Auberge aren't too shabby either! The one French zone being on holiday does really help, and next week is not just one zone but always the quietest zone of the 3 of them, so I'm really looking forward to getting back on a pair of skis a week from now - am very spoilt and not used to seeing other people around, so I tend to skip the half term weeks, but this year seems to have been completely queue-free in La Giettaz already, so next week will be fine snowHead

geetee, which is why I just had to have some lemon meringue pie at Auberge du Bonjournal as a last day treat - it was like it was meant to be! Embarassed

Well it was a beautiful day today. Very sunny. Sorry, I'm rubbish and never bother to look at thermometers, particularly on a busy changeover day, but it was warm at 1200m… and the skiing report is going to have to be second-hand from a couple of groups of guests who arrived this morning and skied in Megeve… the verdict: "Absolutely brilliant!"

Whilst the snow is holding up well (there is a stick in our meadow that, as long as I can't see it, I know snow levels are absolutely fine, and it doesn't even look close to poking it's way through at the moment), then I have to say I'm really enjoying this warm, sunny weather. We don't tend to ski in the school holidays as we have a cheap season pass that doesn't include them, so I've been out doing some beautiful snowshoe hikes, OH has been cycling (!), friends and guests have been really enjoying the skiing (both on piste and touring)… it seems to be a perfect point in the season where everyone's happy no matter what they're up to.

igLou tomorrow is scheduled to be a day on the terrace finishing my project for your arrival in a few weeks' time. Very Happy

Anyone out in Megeve at the moment? Just wondering what the slopes are like.

Spent a day at Cote 2000 Megeve last Thursday (Chattonmill, sorry of no use to you now!). We were using a 'free' day from season passes and thought that the day pass for one of our group was a bit steep still at approx €32. There was slightly more open than we thought though - got down to bottom of Rochbrune, just. That was mainly as my eldest raced off without checking where we were going Toofy Grin
Cote 2000 area itself was good and everywhere beautifully quiet Very Happy Very Happy

miranda, hope that igLou, and her family were well behaved - I can't imagine otherwise... can you let me know some time how many weeks you have been able to use your reduced access pass (relax?) - I know you said French school holidays but not sure how many weeks that actually means.

Pamski, Laughing I hope we were!
Really enjoyed the four resorts visited during the week Combloux, Les Saisies x2, La Clusaz and Megeve Cote 2000. Usual spring conditions but snow held up well in the warm sunshine. One day off as 'il pleut comme vache qui pisse' as they say Toofy Grin

miranda, enjoy your special guests Very Happy
