Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Just spent a day on one at Hemel, instructor Andy Bennett.

Very perceptive instructor, great course, well worth the money. Recommended.

Do you mean Warren Smith? Or did they have you jumping off the roof?

austin7, I like Andy. He tends to pick up points that others miss. He's only ever pointed out two things to me, but both made a huge difference.

He can't ski bumps though wink

Andy taught me freestyle (or tried to - I was a rubbish student) on the British Freeski camp in July 2012 in Saas Fee. He is excellent.

I did 2 days at Manchester fridge with them 2 years ago, sorted my poles out and thigh steering technique. Only downside were the crowds, Queues for tows and loons on boards charging about but not their fault. Went to Casvegas and Hemel shortly after and practiced what they said and it was well worth the time and money and i reckon it has benefited my skiing. Was thinking about it again just today but going to give it a swerve and wait for snow in the Alps. wink

Recent feedback on the Hemel 1 day course I took the other day.
It was really good. I am a beginner really, as I only have 2 weeks experience in resort, but Andy Bennett took it in his stride to help me and gave me specific exercises on leg steering, pressure on boots, symmetry and rhythm that really benefitted me.
By the end of the day I felt so much more confident, I thorougly recommend.
However, it is hard work as yo are skiing from 2 till 8 with a 30 mins roughly break...
