Can anyone recommend a film along these sort of lines that is largely based in say Chamonix, Verbier, etc....i.e. more familiar territory for me than some remote Alaskan/Kiwi hill? It would be nice to actually recognise some of the terrain these guys are skiing from first hand experience.
Whitters, me too, but I'm guessing there are usually too many of the hoi polloi getting in the way of their shots when they film in more accessible places, so it's less popular for filming.

How do I stop my IPad from pausing in the film, like buffering? I don't understand it at all, but I know it didn't used to do this, now does? Pretty clueless

The London Freeski Film Festival (see above, 24 October) will comprise UK premieres of four movies:
Level 1 - Partly Cloudy
Chaoz - Head Straight
Sandra Lahnsteiner - Shades of Winter
Field Prod - Supervention
Here are the trailers for the first three of those. The trailer for Supervention is above.
Tracing Skylines is already available on iTunes and is pretty good. Excellent part set in Detroit.
