Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Yeah, I wondered if your question may have come from there! I don't think I'll have too many requests of that nature as all my content is likely to be user generated and either highly contentious in which case I'll see it pretty quickly or pretty standard in which case I'll not move or edit it. Fortunatley I'm only going to be linking to the wage survey so it falls under the 'not responsible for the content of other websites' heading!

Seriously though, I'd take one of two approaches. Either refuse to move it unless it was incorrect or take it down but leave a comment somewhere as to which companies had requested their information be removed. I'd be more interested in knowing who has something to hide if I was job hunting.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hi Dav, yes, that's me, been there the last 2 seasons though!

I thought I recognised the name; I think we might have skied together once en masse in Les Arcs. I was the RM for Meribel in season 2011/12.

Good luck with the site!

Dav, I remember it, as I recall we had to stop for the RM from La Tania to relieve herself behind a tree following a session at The Arpette on the run back. We're running one of the meribel chalets this season.

At the moment it's just a letter from recruitment. Have not replied yet but drafted a standard FAQ style response to go online here http://www.skiwu.org/takedown.htm

I had a look at it on the other thread. Looks pretty sensible, I don't really see what they gain by asking to have info removed. It's not like people applying for seasonal jobs expect to come home as millionaires, it's just nice to know you're not be completely ripped off!

On another note are you capturing the fact that returning staff tend to get paid a bit more (I think me and my girlfriend get an extra £5 a week as returners plus as we're in meribel we get 3 valleys rather than local ski pass).

dheason, relying on people to put that sort of thing in the notes but not prompting it. A couple have in the past so probably OK.

For those of you who kindly pointed me in the right direction a while back I'm pleased to say that the site is now live. It's still a long way from perfect but it now exists which is a huge step forwards. If anyone knows seasonnaires, anyone planning to do a season, people who'd like to advertise jobs or other stuff please point them in my direction!
