Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Best Ski School in Kitzbuhel and rough price

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a ski school in Kitzbuhel and give me a rough price for 5 days instruction for a beginner / intermediate. Its been over 20 years since I had any lessons and didn't have to pay for them myself so have no idea what the going rate is for them. Theyre for my girlfriend whos just doing the basics at Castleford first.

I think group lessons will be fine for her as I can give her some private tuition in the afternoons but Id rather not teach her it all as Ive no doubt got some bad habits and I dont want to be shouted at when she cant do it Wink

medlington, Wise snowheads know:

1) do not teach your wife/gf to drive, nor comment on her driving ability
2) do not teach your wife/gf to ski, nor give hints and tips (unless requested)

Group lessons in Austria in general cost €180 - €200 for 5 days (all-day, not just mornings) - e.g. Rote Taufel in Kitzbuhel quote €200. Some schools do combined deals which include ski and boot rental. Just Google to get an overview of the schools in Kitzbuhel.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks for that.

All day! thats great and means I wont get roped in to be the private instructor Smile When I was little we used to have them all day in Austria but have only skied France for the past er 2 decades (sounds bad when I put it like that) and when Ive been with learners it was only in the morning so had just assumed it had become the norm these days.

Good idea to look for the joint rental / school package too.
