Snow Reports
FAQ
Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

We went to Thyon Les Collons earlier this year and the skiing was fantastic - especially skiing to Verbier over the top (and taking on the Tortin wall!). The only think I would mention about staying in Thyon is that there is not much to do there yet. It needs a few years of development (shops and places to stay) before it becomes a cracking resort.
Some great piste and off piste together with a few beginner runs. My view - go to Verbier if you can afford the premium, but for cheap ski holidays, Thyon is not a bad bet. We are however planning on Verbier for 2014.

Why not go 'down the hill' and stay in Veysonnaz and then you have the best of both worlds, I don't think there's any plans to develop Thypn/Collons atm. Went on to your 'link' ....it wouldn't open
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hi Swissie
Many thanks for your advice
Agreed Veysonnaz would be a great shout - have just read some reviews. I have fixed my link - just a little article I was working on - more to come - I go skiing every year (sometimes twice) so going to get a mini blog of reviews together...
All the best and happy skiing

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
