Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Every snowHead needs a snowBlower - here's what to buy

This guide to snowblowers, from FortWayne.com, could make useful reading if you're in the market for something to clear the drive this winter.

Not many people buy these in the UK, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't feel the need to have one. This information may be useful:

Need to know: Most electric-powered snowblowers don't have the oomph to shift great quantities of snow, though they are more environmentally friendly than gasoline-powered blowers. Going electric is an option if you live in a South Philadelphia rowhouse with a small sidewalk and an alley, have a protected cord that is long enough, and have a ground-fault circuit interrupter outlet to plug it into.

Don't buy the following model unless you're looking for high levels of propulsion, which are not normally necessary.

Boring photo of snowblower which isn't blowing.

My grandpa snowblowing in 1926 (nice family shot, but obsolete technology)

Pointless snowblowing of carpark when there is virtually no snow

David Goldsmith, ok, you've redeemed yourself and I stand corrected by a point well made - I'd've re-used the first picture too! Very Happy
