Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Have now booked an estate car from 14th February until 23rd February. Was cheaper than I thought and saves a lot of faffing.

Thanks to everyone for all the information about transfers and public transport.

ansta1, let me know how you get on with looking at guide options and if there is anything you need me to do with this.

ansta1, no problem and agreed. I have a couple of ski instructor friends who work in the Obergurgl ski school so I can try and leverage off that if we need to.

Yep agree,Lufthansa bhx to munich with baggage at £102 return has got to be a good deal!!But you have to book early .

immer schuss, thanks for the suggestion, but you are a little late to the party. Flights booked to innsbruck via frankfurt.

Just private transfer to pay for.

As is evident in some of my other posts about travel to skiing with the family in tow, I like it simple and direct if possible, short private transfers whenever I can. Trains and buses in my own are fine, with wife and 2 children plus ski luggage.

Sorry I am out. Want to arrive on resort and home as stress free as is possible, and i am happy to pay the extra to make it so.
