sorry to hijack the thread guys, but being a noob, I didnt even realise that there was still some snow to be had. Is there general access to this (if so when does it close) or is it competition stuff only? Going to be out there in a week or so and would love to get some summer turns in during the week. Very busy??
Thanks

dennisp: Summer skiing conditions are fantastic on the glacier at Tignes at the moment......Do-able from Morzine
And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Hmm, what's the transit time and which direction? Don't think emirates airlines will let me take my board AND my golf clubs
So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

dennisp, You should probably allow 4 hours to drive from Morzine to Tignes, if you know the roads then maybe you can do it in less.
I'm not sure conditions will be all that good, the weather report for Tignes doesn't show it freezing overnight at the top of the Grande Motte
You know it makes sense.

Fantastic for a glacier doesn't mean fantastic...

Lol, could do, and could also get the wife to take the boards! I have 4 sets and going to take at least one of them to our new chalet to save long term back and forth
Anyway, I think the trip to tignes is too far as we also have a road trip to southern Italy to do will have to wait for the season I guess, can't wait, hope the snow is as good as last year!
