Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Lake Louise Ski Season

 Poster: A snowHead

Hey folks,

I'm planning on doing a season working for Lake Louise resort in Canada next winter. I know that the employee accommodation is in the village of Lake Louise, which is a decent distance outside of Banff. Basically what I'm wondering is if anybody knows what the story is with getting back to employee housing in the wee hours after a night out in Banff? Is there a bus, or are taxis the only option? I imagine a taxi would cost a fair bit to get back. If anybody here has done a season in Lake Louise and knows anything about this their help would be great appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

There's a Greyhound about midnight or used to be. Taxis will get old quick though I imagine you'll have a full cab with others when you go in. Also bear in mind you might make friends with Canadians who have their own motors.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Plan on making friends with other employees with a car and take turns at being designated driver is probably your best bet. Very Happy It's a while since I was there, there were not any late buses then.
