Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Masik Hill resort in North Korea.

North Korea is building a "world class" ski resort on Masik hill in Wonsan with a range of ski runs and a hotel, according to the North Korean state news agency.

Located in Kangwon Province, Masik hill is 2,520 feet (768 meters) high and typically receives heavy snowfall from early November through early March.

altis, Well if the current Supreme Leader of North Korea Kim Jong Un has inherited the fantastic sporting prowess of his father Kim Jong Il, I fully expect that the first time he puts on skis he will ski faster than any World Cup Downhill racer.... Laughing

Kim, who was partly educated in Switzerland, appears to be familiar with ski resort operations.

Quote:
"He said it is necessary to build not only rest places, but first aid stations at starting, middle and final points of the courses, and establish an automatic cableway monitoring system for a real time watch so as to take measures to prevent accidents," said the report.

ah, yes just like skiing in Switzerland rolling eyes Laughing

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I bet the apres ski scene in North Korea is a belter, with dancing to songs like "Let’s Defend General Kim Jong Un at the Cost of Our Lives", or the catchy accordion and tap-dance tune, "The Naval Port in the Evening". Austrian apres ski music just can't compete with that... Laughing

Kim, "Supreme Commander" of the North's armed forces, also inspected overcoats for pupils at the country's top military schools and suggested style improvements, KCNA reported.

I refer you to my previous post.

Alastair Pink, quite a lot of posting mileage in the Young 'Un. Nice finds.

IMO Korean Government officials manage to look both stupid and worrying at the same time (although this is not the most worrying photo I must admit)
