Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Phil Brown is running a 'Race Camp ' in conjunction with Avon Ski Club and 'Head' at the newly renamed Mendip Snowsports Centre (formerly Avon Ski Centre) between Bristol and Weston Super Mare. its in the holidays starting on the tuesday after the bank holiday, and there is a camping option (supervised with evening actitivities) the costs are really reasonable and its a great way to lose the kids for three days Very Happy which is exactly what we are doing. If anyones interested (its open to all) the details are on the ski clubs website www.avonskiclub.co.uk First time a camp like this has been run at the centre, should be a great time for all!! Cool

The camp is run by Hedley Beavis. I will be coaching and there will be some test skis from Head. I'm looking forward to it

Philbo, the camp is presumably for kids who are already pretty good/keen? My grandchildren, having just had and greatly enjoyed their first week on snow, don't fall into that category.

To be honest pam w, You would need to ask Hedley, who has organised the camp. I'll Pm you his contact details.
If not, there's always the option of getting them to a local club to develop their skills and encourage them if they are keen.

I see the flyer says £120 a day - is a daily thing or do you book all 3 days?

its £120 for all three days, you can book for one or two days, but the progression is over three days. its £40 for one day

Due to a slight c**k up on dates, !!! the 'Race Camp' has had to shift by a day, so its now 29/30/31 weds/thurs/fri of the holidays, cost is the same, camping is arranged, all ready for take off!!!! ages so far from 8-16!! Very Happy
