Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I need a versatile, all mountain ski!!

So, I am a pretty experienced skier, at the moment mainly blasting down groomers but also a bit of powder whenever I can. I would, however, like to start doing jumps and venturing into the park. So really what I am looking for is a ski that I can use for a lot of skiing on piste but also great in the park. Does such a ski exist and if so can anyone suggest any? I have been looking at the K2 Press (2013) which or the Volkl Alley (2013) which look like they may be what I am looking for. Could anyone tell me if I am on the right lines?

Thanks
Sam

Is this to be skied in europe? Will you be jumping mostly in the park or hitting rails?

The 2 skis you mentioned (as far as I know) are symmetrical. That feel on piste is a wierd one if you are coming off a piste ski. I'd be more tempted to steer you in the direction of the volkl kink, atomic panic or k2 sight. These are all more directional, twins without being pure park skis.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Not the easiest ski to find but i use Liberty Hazmats and they are perfect for everything i have found, although i'm not in the park much tbh

On piste and off the 94mm waist feels good and they are a nice flex which means i can get a wee bit lazy with my skiing if i want but handle well when i blast them

have a look at the Majesty LocalHero or Thunderbolt

I would say Movement Jam or Source, but they don't have the twin-tip for the park.
