Poster: A snowHead

Interested in thoughts on whether this is really feasible/worth the effort from Darn sarff. Guess Cairngorm would be the main candidate and probably making a late call re weather. Rail travel is problematic usually due to BH works. Driving would probably be thru the night Friday and after skiing/hiking Monday.
Massive cons are fuel cost and feeling knackered on the return. Pros are eking out a few more days to get me nearer a respectable number for the season and glorious Scottish weather/fine whisky.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

We're considering it from Manchester having done it three years ago for the SH weekender (we stayed up for the rest of that week) and last year for a long weekend. Last year Mrs NBT picked me up in Hyde at noon, we stopped at Forton while I ate sandwiches, and we checked in to the hotel in Aviemore shortly after 6pm.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

£235 is not too bad for a single person, but if there are two or more of you a car is cheaper. You do need to consider the time spent driving though
