Anyone had an email from them today saying "Your tickets are attached" ...with no attachment?

@Seahoob, oh yes. As well at the placeholder text on the welcome page, I too had no tickets attached to the email that the tickets were supposed to be attached to

Same here. At least they are sending tickets again unprompted, I booked mine ages ago and although I filed them I’ll bet a lot of people wouldn’t be able to find the original email easily. Might save a few minutes queuing while people hunt for that old ticket email.

I had the same problem earlier.
In case anybody else is looking, mine came under the name "SEE Tickets. Was looking for "NEC"
As I was looking, found a new email had arrived 30 minutes ago with a second copy. Hopefully everyone is getting that.

This was a mistake, your e-tickets will be attached to your confirmation email which is being resent today.
You can expect to receive this at some point today (18 October 2021). .."

@albob, Hah! Just checked and had tickets delivered by email on 27 April. This fiasco dosn't bode well for the actual show, hope the journey is worth it.

My tickets were delivered by email back on 23rd April when I ordered them. I printed them out at the time, but printing out the tickets from today's email attachment I note that although the Reference Number is the same, as is the bar code on the left hand side of the ticket, the QR code on today's ticket is different from the original one sent.... Presumably both versions are valid?

Is this worth going to? it's true what they say that nothing good comes for free. Is it just a marketing event really?

Well pretty much. As for whether it's "worth" it - who knows? This is probably last chance of a reboot of a national level ski show in the UK. Either people enjoy it and it stands a chance of making it or they are disappointed. No pressure then.

Definitely
The organisers have opted to give so many tickets away to build the audience.
Then try to recoup the initial start up costs in successive shows.
If people don't show to this one, then we can kiss goodbye to UK shows IMHO.
My thoughts on the value of attending these type of events in person are well documented.
If you can't recoup the cost of petrol and parking either in actual monetary terms and/or in knowledge which will save you money down the line then it's not for you.

Don't forget to prebook your parking, knocks it down from £16 to £12.
Please attend and support this show, from one rec skiier to another.

@Dave of the Marmottes, brilliant!
There are interesting exhibitors - 2 different toffee vodka brands?! A mobile phone lens; west midlands police club...
Though I have also spotted two cheese stands on the list, I'm definitely heading over for some sampling of these: https://www.stevescheese.co.uk/new-products
Plus a wine shop and brewery (though a London brewery, not one of the many excellent Birmingham ones, disappointing).

Cordyceps are one of those parasitic fungi which infect insects, take over their bodies and consume them from the inside out. If you've ever played 'The Last of Us' that was inspired by Cordyceps.
