I like her big furry tickling stick!
Steve, thanks so much for the posts and the pictures, they're fantastic for those of us living in EK vicariously through you. Hope the filming goes well. Have they done the "noddy" shots yet (where you have to look at the camera, nod and smile, so that they can then cut into interviews)? Very embarrassing.

Looks like this high pressure system and wonderfully sunny conditions continue ...
Bitterly cold overnight - at daybreak it was -13C - it will get warmer as the day goes on but surely the temperatures will plummet again over night... the freezing level this afternoon is supposed to raise to over 2500m!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lets hope it does not get too warm and turn this snow rotten..... certainly the melt freeze cycle (in the short term) is great for the on-piste snow pack as it helps bind it all together.... I am convinced that now there is enough snow base to see us through right until the end of season... even if we went tropical... well just about anyway!
Random... the film crew are arriving to film us having our breakfast in a moment so had better tootle along!

Steve Angus, I have been "lurking" on this thread for some time, reading your updates and getting excited about coming to Val in Feb - but now I need to pipe up and say Congratulations!
That's awesome news, can't wait to see the TV show. Keep us updated on when it will be shown!
Obviously the wedding needs to be at some tiny little chapel somewhere on a ski slope, you and the guests can ski in with your suits/dresses etc! Would look amazing for the photos!

Steve Angus, Like djtj, I too have been reading with interest ongoing, well done with your news, and for the great job you're doing bringing regular updates via your thread for mere mortals like me sat behind desks counting the days off until the next trip! You're clearly having a great time, enjoy yourself, have fun with those TV guys, bet your rider has bottles of fizz and all the usual celeb requirements eh?!

Steve Angus, I am not a big Val d'Isere fan but you have manged to turn tjis into my favourite thread on the forum. I, like many snowHeads, will be rivited to the tv when the prog is broadcast.
Ciongratulations to you both.... and many thanks for making me smile on a very dreary morning Teesside (gets no worse than that)

I can believe that, having laboured mightily, and to little avail, over a tiny bit of video which still looks like cr@p. I hope they don't do anything nasty to you, Steve - sometimes those telly people are not to be trusted.

I do know that the very high winds the other day / night in the storm, bent some of the safety bars as the chairs on the Borsat clattered together... word on the street is that the same may have happened to the Cascade Chairlift which is the main lift in Val up to the glacier but do not quote me on that.
Have not been over Tignes way for a while so totally pass on all that.
All lifts concerned are being / have been fixed.
SUNNY AGAIN THIS MORNING ...
