A first, weak cold front will hit us on Wednesday.
Significant precipitation is not to be expected, The snow line drops around 1000m.
Thursday the wind on the mountains will continue to increase and by the evening we will be hit by the next, but this time much more weather-effective, frontal system.
In the night to Friday heavy precipitation will come, whereby the snow line may rise briefly to 1500m.
Friday colder air will seep in again and the snow line will drop below 1000m.
The snowfall is expected to be persistent.
The same applies to Saturday, with the snow line tending to rise above 1000m again.

Has St Anton never been included in the Tirol Snow Card?
No.
One reason is that Ski Arlberg for the largest part is in Vorarlberg.

i think years ago, 2015 ? St. Anton was in the Tirol Snow Card but only for three days i think. But at those days, there was no connection with Zürs , Lech etc
Indeed i am sure because i had the card for one season, and used in St. Anton for one day.
Nowadays the Arlberg Season Pass has a price of 1300 i think vs TSC for almost 1100?
didnt check it but definitely Arlberg costs more

@turms2, I don’t know about the Tirol card because I have always bought an Arlberg season pass, but I know that some Vail Epic pass types allow for a limited number of days in the Arlberg… but, only if you stay at one of the associated accommodation houses.
Zürs and Lech have been on the Arlberg pass well before I started skiing there in 2002. The connection was however by bus, before the Flexenbahn, which is what I think you meant?

Yes I thought it had been included at some time in the past and I thought it was when you had to get the bus to Lech, so that would make sense at the time because it was before the newish lift connection.
I also thought it was only for a few days not the whole season.

Mmm by then I had already switched to the Innsbruck Freizeitticket (which did and does include 3 days in the whole Arlberg, incl Sonnenkopf etc) rather than TSC, but I can't remember the TSC ever including the Arlberg. Could be wrong though! TSC does cover Ischgl btw (FZT also, but again only 3 days).

@clarky999, yes it definitely covers Ischgl as I’m here now but if St Anton was included just for a day I might have considered popping over

Currently staying in lech and the past 2 days of sunshine have been mind blowing and feels like spring skiing. No queues and barely anyone on the pistes in some places. Ski Arlberg is awesome!

Storm and snow warning for Tyrol
Especially in the night from Friday to Saturday, strong squalls are expected. Wind gusts of up to 90 km/h can occur in the valleys, and severe gusts of over 100 km/h are to be expected at times in the high mountains. GeoSphere Austria therefore issued the warning level "orange" – the second highest warning on the four-level scale (3 out of 4) – for the whole of Tyrol from Thursday to Saturday.
For the west of Tyrol – the districts of Reutte, Landeck, Imst and the west of Innsbruck-Land – the snow warning level "orange" has also been issued for today, Friday and Saturday.
The lift guys from Valluga were telling me Up there at the top the lift cables were fused with ice.. The Valluga T bar was buried and glaciated in ice ..they spent the last days digging it out.. ,(brutal back breaking work) Schindlerbahn two top stations were also badly affected ..the piste was also a solid Ice field ..(affect of snow.rain and wind)
Anyway top job they deserve a raise ..

Arrived today. Some fresh snow overnight, but the temperature has come up, and the roads are now wet. That said, a far cry from 12 months ago, when there was green grass on the lower slopes and only strips of man made.
4:30pm Update: snowing steadily, especially above mid-mountain. Temps have dropped. -6C on the Gampen.

This strike will affect OBB trains coming and going to Zurich?

@nunex, Cant see why it would affect trains running between Vienna & Zürich, for the previous strike ÖBB trains running between Salzburg & Kufstein were unaffected despite running over DB tracks (it is only the drivers who are on strike). It will affect the trains running from Munich to Italy via Innsbruck. I think the regional trains from Munich to Kufstein will run as they are not DB.

Yeah, that was my thought as well. Going from Zurich to St Anton shouldn't be a problem, its even different companies.

Starts on the Kapall, tracks into the Eisfall, then out into Nasserein.

For anyone looking for ski/boot/board overnight storage in Lech I received the following prices for Sunday to Friday;
Sportalp €45
Strolz €48
No response from Intersport yet.

@fullducknodinner, It happens above Nasserein, mostly on the black runs. The top part of Fang is not used (hence why it has not been in use so far this season), the route goes down a blue then the Eisfall ski route to join Fang. This time it looks as it the finish line is in the middle of the piste rather than the spectator area at the bottom which might mean that the tunnel with the awkward run past the Rodel Hut is not built. It is a bit of a pain unless you are interested in the racing.
