In lieu of a full trip report, I, as associate egotist to Arno have posted my photos here. They include some brief descriptions but as I've said, I'll post an abridged version here soon:

Zero-G: Not a muppet this time but a locally well known skier/journalist. She skied off a cornice in a squall and broke her hip in 3 places.
Arctic Roll: We stayed in 3 different places, all courtesy of the Nord Norsk Klatre Skole climbing school. We stayed on the south edge of the harbour, next to the free car park and then next to the fish restaurant on the quayside.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Nice pics. Looks stunning. I'm going there! Need to go back to Norway again anyway, to pick up a decent supply of arctic cloudberries. and brown cheese.
Only place I've had dried fish was in Russia - I assume they do it in a similar way up near Murmansk or somewhere, before sending it to the cities.
Ouch at the injured skier though.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

What is going on in this pic? Looks like dry land mass below sea level, with sea going right up to the edge.

No that's just a bit of an optical illusion as I zoomed in for it. The ridge in the foreground is well above sea level!

Interesting illusion, looks like a big snow-covered crater in the sea!
