To warm with flat light and poor vis high up, low down is bumpy, grippy sugar soap. Hard work therefore called it a day.

Great day, sunshine snow is good, turning soft in the heat- a bit to warm for the time of year but as I was remaindered it was like this last year at the beginning of march and we still had a great season close.

Questions for: Dwarf Vader,
I've read the weather forecast, but I reckon locally you get a more accurate forecast -
Is there snow scheduled to come, how does it look for Easter weekend?
I read some reviews somewhere else, that they close a bunch of lifts, do you think that is also likely over Easter?
thanks!

The http://www.laax.com/en/home/ is not to bad a guestimate.
They do often warn of higher lifts closing, they do not close them as often as they warn they might.
TBH I don't even know when Easter is if it's in a few weeks your guess is as good as mine.

Hey Dwarf Vader,
Thanks for your excellent blog! Will be in Laax from Saturday so is interesting to read.
Do you have any thoughts on renting skis from Skiset vs. from the lift company owned Free Ski Rental shops at the base stations? Trying to decide if it's worth paying the extra €60 to the lift company shops if they have a better selection?
I like trying a few different skis depending if I'm in a carving, off-piste or free ski mood.
Thanks!

umbauk, In my limited knowledge the only advantage is if you rent from Free (Stupid name for a rental shop as it's not) you can use their ski lockers at the base station over night to save you taking the kit back to your accom.
Thereis also a Free shop at the top of Crap Sogn Gion so if you do have an issue it may save you going down the hill again.
Looks like a great week to be there. Sad I'm not there until midweek
