Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Slightly off topic, but does anybody double up with their ski socks while on the slopes?

I've had a pair of Falke (the thin ones, I think SK4) and they were nice (one sock never came back from St Anton, ah well...). However, I've found Bridgedale (a wool mix) to be much warmer, and just as comfortable (about the same thickness), so much warmer that I had to buy some other socks for warmer days.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thorlo? Welcome to 2010! They haven't been re-designed for years and are so far behind the likes of Smartwool, Falke, Wigwam and Teko.

If you get cold feet I like my Teko's as they are Merino and environmentally friendly. Same as Smartwool, but flat toe and Smartwool seems to be losing their quality.

I found my Falke's lost thier shape afer a number of washes, not to mention a little cold, maybe just me tho.

Has anyone tried Icebreaker socks? My friend sent two pairs back!

How fast do feet evolve ?

I'm happy with my Thorlo ones.

Jimmythefoot, well they're still doing the job I bought them to do however many years ago I bought them, without any wear and tear! That's good enough for me.

Spyderman, as sold by the Pie Master. I liked them too, wish I didn't have to wear the poxy compression socks now.

Indeed, you could always go for a pair of his Compression Boots. Laughing

Spyderman, luckily, when he supplied my boots, he knew that I didn't ski well enough to be a candidate for the more gangrene-inducing ones. Laughing

Love my Icebreakers! I like thin socks and the thin icebreakers are the warmest I've found. Also have Smartwool, X-socks and Falke (old) but they're in the for guests draw. X-socks are the least warm.

I've tried Smartwool, X-Socks, Falke and definitely prefer Falke out of them all the most. I prefer thinner socks anyway, they seem to fit the bill and are warm enough and comfortable.
