Has anyone successfully done this?
I just ordered a 6 day pass for Christmas/New year and was charged the standard listed price of 151.5 Euros
http://www.lesgets.com/en/tarifrem/index.html#c621
The skipass Website (http://www.skipass-lesgets.com/catalog/) states that there is a 20% discount if you order your pass before the end of this month.
Am I being stupid or have I just been ripped off for my discount?

sennion, that may only apply to season passes (as it does here). the document you linked to says
Quote: |
If you buy your season pass before the 15th of December, you will profit by a preferential rate.
Adult = 305€ (instead of 435€) Children = 220€
(instead of 314€) Senior = 253€ (instead of 361€) |

They do distinguish between season (30% discount) and stay passes (20% discount)........
To order, please start by choosing the date and duration of your ski passes using the calendar on the right.
Mind the discounts:
-30% on Les Gets/Morzine season pass (until 12/15/2010)
-20% on Les Gets/Morzine stay pass (until 10/31/2010)
-10% on Portes du Soleil stay pass (until 12/05/2010)
Above is from: http://www.skipass-lesgets.com/catalog/

|
|
|
|
They have now added (seemingly in the last hour) the following text to the order page:
Discount price -20% on full price before 31/10/2010 from 6 to 14 consécutive days ski passes (excluding periods from 12/25/2010 to 01/01/2011 and 02/12/2011 to 03/11/2011)
Which explains why I didn't get the discount I was expecting
EDIT: actually they didnt add the text...it just disappears if you select a date in the Christmas period..I didn't spot the change in price after I selected the date.

Not actually snow report related, but thought i would ask here anyway as people likely to know the answer are more likely to see my question here than posted elsewhere..
I'm off to Avoriaz in january but can't actually find an Avoriaz piste map anywhere on the internet. Each of the other PdS areas have their own piste map (e.g. Morzine, Chatel etc), but on every website i can find, the Avoriaz piste map is always the whole PdS map.
Anyone know where i can get a zoomed in, just Avoriaz map?
PS - Cheers for the link to the discounted lift passes! I'll be getting me one of those before deadline day!

sennion, hi mate, just about to book my lift passes this weekend. Did you book on the Les Gets site in the end... or the one in French for Morzine. I need to pick up my passes from Morzine but its obviously easier to book on the english Les Gets site, wondered if one of the pick up places you can select is the tourist office in Morzine
Update
Actually... just went through the booking on both sites so I could understand from the English site what was being said on the French... but then theres a difference because Morzine site wants pictures uploaded
Also saw the list of places available for pick up on the Les Gets booking site.. can't collect from Morzine so it looks like I'll have to go with the Morzine site afterall, think i'll ring my chalet guy in France first - Have used a translater and it seems pretty simple... although when filling out my address at the end it took me a while to find out which from the drop down was for the UK - was Royaume-Uni
Need to find half decent pictures of each of the group now to upload before doing anything else
cheers
Dave

Snowscreen:
I booked on the English Les gets site.
I had an old pass left in my jacket from last year so I just did a "top up" on it using the "internet number" printed on the card.
No need to worry about pick up now...only whether the card will work first time I try it!
I think one of the options on the site was to deliver to your chalet ....maybe worth checking with your chalet operator.

sennion, don't worry about it working. A bit like using a telepeage, there's a moment's tension as you approach the first barrier, but the light turns green, the turnstile turns and you have a quiet smug moment to yourself.

Although I haven't received my email confirmation yet... did it Friday, no moneys been taken yet either. The webpage gave me a confirmation reference and bits like that but I just havent had an email yet, maybe i'll get one after the payments gone through. (nothing in junk folder either)
Emailed them in English + French so will probably hear something tomorrow

bert7cosby, should be fine.. did you take a note of the order reference etc after completing the order, I emailed them and just asked for confirmation and they sent me a pdf file with it. Took about 3 days for the money to leave my account and they replied to my email within 48 hours.

sprinkles, it's looking rather warm, into mid November. But there's plenty of time for snow before the season gets under way. If there's none by the first week of December it would be rather worrying though.
