Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

element, Dont think I rec. a confirmation on paypal payment but one of the emails I rec. after winning bid gave a link to www.afterbuy.de/*****/****/**** by clicking on this it allowed me to track what was happening and by following the link through to the carriers web site was able to follow their progress as they travelled across Europe.

My bank, SMILE, does foreign transfers to EU countries for an £8 fee on receipt of an e-mail request using a process called TIPANET. You need all the right codes (IBAN etc). I suppose it's always worth remembering to check the exchange rate too but they've always seemed very good. Paul

Mike Lawrie, I assumed when I bought them that I would just pay with my debit card. My German let me down and I missed the little checkbox that said choose paypal or vorkasse. I chose vorkasse by default. I didnt know what it was. Then when I discovered I had to do a wire transfer, I was a little apprehensive as I've never done one and don't know the form, and it sounds a lot dodgier than credit card payment that I'm used to via the internet. Signed up for paypal and payed for the skis, although again it was my first time so I wasn't entirely sure what I was doing.
I was just looking for a bit of friendly reassurance and a confirmation on the German. Which is exactly what I got thankfully Very Happy I know I must sound incredibly naive and neurotic, but I'm only 20, a student and don't have a great deal of money to throw around. Just wanted to make sure I got it right.
