FWIW. I agree with Pam....imo. Your best progress will come from signing up to a really good ski school in the resort...so a bit of research (and getting personal recommendations on here) will give the best results. There are some great British ski schools in the Alps.
If having lessons in the UK...I'd go to a "Fridge".

Only worth it if a fridge is near enough and quiet enough. Dry slope is a great technical basis for a long and happy ski or snowboard life because it doesn't allow you to be sloppy. Plus in terms of bang per buck a series of group lessons on a local dry slope is the best skiing investment you can make.

I've seen too many people put off skiing by a Dry slope...including getting a nasty injury.....so I'm always hesitant giving it a full recommendation. I'd rather put the money towards a good resort ski school, or an extra private lesson when there. I appreciate other opinions vary.
