Kappl pretty much closed most of today other than gondola, then the 2 man chair opened up after lunch. Looks like Ischgl had a small amount open today. Eventually stopped snowing around 4 or so today - since Monday evening. Vis was actually ok today and kept skiing till 4. Snow is really in great nick but just wish it would stop snowing and the winds die down up top so that more can open up. Heading to Ischgl on Friday so I hope a lot more is open than today otherwise I’m guessing it will be a bit chaotic

@boabski, yes everything wasnt open, but some sub-treeline areas gave me the best ski day for years. Hopefully more open tomorrow, but im afraid areas higher up will be dangerous after all this snow?

Hey. Me and my gf are stranded in Ischgl right now, and are supposed to be in Chamonix tomorrow but our driver (the carowner) broke his hand and has to get back home fie operation. Is there anybody who knows a good way to get from Ischgl (or nearby) to Cham?

We`re travelling out tomorrow. Flying to Munich then a taxi.
Snowforecast is predicting hair raising amounts of snow for Sunday. The Wetterzentral site seems to support this. Bergfex is suggesting more modest amounts. What`s the local view ? Any warnings in place ?

Ischgl is now closed to inbound and traffic. Authorities are to review the situation at 08:00 tomorrow.

Mountain closed at the moment and so are the roads. Will drive over to St Anton if Road opens.

No road access to St Anton at the moment and does not seem likely to change any time soon,
In any event, not much point coming over to St Anton today. Pretty much the whole mountain is closed, aside from Galzigbahn and Fang.

Just heard that the Paznaunertal road (to/from Ischgl) will be closed until at least 7am tomorrow (Tuesday) morning, when the avalanche commission will next meet to discuss the situation.
^^ PS road IN to St Anton is also closed, though private cars are allowed OUT until 5pm this eve.

Very pleasant piste conditions, off piste heavy but I'm sure a guide could find something worthwhile, no slush even down to resort on a very sunny day but usual accumulations of artificial sugar snow on the valley run
