Looks like they've put a new covered 'magic carpet' in the beginners area at K Schiedigg to replace the poma . . .still a pain for beginners to traipse up the track in the face of other skiers after lessons / back to the tepee area . . .stick with Wengen nursery slopes for beginners if you can . . .

Within the area I'd certainly say that Wengen Village has the best beginner slopes, they are only a very short walk (on the flat) from the railway station so not difficult to reach from Lauterbrunnen and the gradients allow beginners to progress from the tinyest of slopes to fairly steep (but short) as they gain confidence and ability,

Ok, private lessons booked for our trip. Need to meet the instructor at the train station at the top of klein scheidegg. We are staying in lauterbrunnen, how do we get there e.g, number of trains etc and how long does is take to get to this station? Just dont want to be flapping on the first morning...

Catch the Scheidegg train from Lauterbrunnen. They run every half hour at 07 and 37 minutes past the hour. The journey takes 43 minutes.
