 Poster: A snowHead

For this picture i have three points to mention:
1. Some sunlight was coming from the left just shining between the mountains and the cloudcover
2. Camera Canon EOS M with EF-M18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM f8 1/800 iso 100
3. For the first time i used a trialversion of Dxo OpticsPro 10 for B&W conversion and Photoshop CS 6 for cropping and sharping

@123_456, nice. Makes sense to have a CSC for skiing. I am going to be carting a full frame Nikon d700 around Europe with me this winter, not really lightweight..
Do you ever use Lr? I absolutely swear by Lr5 nowadays.

The forecast for today was a dump of 40 cm. The actual amount was 5 cm at 2000 meter and 10 cm at 3000 meter. During the afternoon some sunny spells, but also a lot of clouds.

Some snowfall during the morning. Many clouds in the afternoon. The temperature dropped during the day. All wet pistes of yesterday are frozen now and covered with a fresh snow layer of about 5 cm.

It's snowed overnight! Woke up to 5cm or so of fresh on the roof, and the pisteurs hard at work. May see a few more flakes today but this will get us through to the big dump expected Saturday!

The snowfall ended yesterday night and a cold night followed. The sun was back on this Sunday with some high clouds at high altitude.
The icy pistes of last week are now covered with fresh snow and the off-pistes possibilities are everywhere available.

Regarding the snow conditions this was the best day since the start of season 2014/2015.
During the early morning a short period with moderate snowfall. The rest of the day plenty of sunshine with some big clouds.
