RichTraff, Relax there is enough snow for the rest of the season, if snow falls in the 3V it will be all tracked out an hour after the lifts open. So no worries!

As forecast, light snow just started falling at 700m. Mrs P reports heavy snow falling at higher altitude. Forecast is for snow to build through the night, and to clear tomorrow

RichTraff, where are you going in 3V? It doesn't make much difference as there is great and very skiable snow everywhere, but my colleagues in La Tania report fabulous conditions. I'm there from 19th too and am not even slightly worried

Horrible up the tops, freezing snow and low visibility: one of my party skied off the track between Marmottes and Creux. Fell about 100 feet or so and had to ski out to Creux then go down and do it all again to get back

PBJ, No firm promises, but as that is just over the road from the hotel I'm staying at (I think), provided we're all checked in etc., I may pop over for a couple while we discuss La Masse in more detail

Snowflakes the size of pizzas coming down here at 700m. It hasn't stopped since my post yesterday lunchtime. A minimum of 15cm fresh at 700m, and that normally equates to 30cm at around 2000m.... and I have to drive to Les Arcs this evening

Most of the higher lifts will open later today, probably around 11am, while avy clearance going on. About 40cm fresh on upper slopes. Weather looks to fine at the moment, but forecast cloud arriving this afternoon. Chains recommended for access to resorts.

Snowing like the clappers this morning. Small flakes but dense. It was snowing through late last night, early hours of this morning too. Had a great first day yesterday. Stayed around the VT area to get my ski legs back on, (they still work...)
Hoping the lighting doesn't hinder my powder skiing this morning!!
Might update later on..

Poor vis up at VT made for a challenging day. My dad and bro managed to find some clear sky up at The Col while I nipped back to the apartment. I raced up the mountain to catch it, but missed!
Made the most of the lovely snow conditions but praying for the clouds to lift for tomorrow.
