@Mother hucker, I’d say about 35 degrees. Maybe up to 40 in places - but not sure, it doesn’t feel STEEP.
I found this image online: the one I skied is the second from bottom, mostly obscured by rocks including the pointy one.

@James the Last, Yes you can ski from Lech to Zürs but the piste from the top of the Schüttboden drag is currently classified as a ski route not a piste see https://www.alpinforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=67451&p=5381831#p5381831. The buses work very well they run every ten minutes ( I know it seems odd getting a bus rather than skiing but it is a fair faff getting onto the Rufikopf cable car you can often be back in Zürs skiing quicker with the bus).

@James the Last, Some mixing up is going on here.
The Weisse Ring still very much exists, but currently not open completely, because lack of (deeper) snowlevels. Currently you CAN ski from Lech to Zürs via Rüfikopf. But you CAN'T ski from Zürs to Lech (and Zug)

@James the Last, The "Weise ring" ski circuit, S. Anton/Zurs/Lech still exists but is now referred to as the "Run of Fame" on ski maps. There is an app to download and points along the route to register your progress. The collection of ski runs that comprise the "Run of Fame" are much same as before in the "Weise Ring". The additions were added to include Warth and the Flexenbahn when those links opened.

@James the Last, you go to the Sonnenkopf website to find out (Sonnenkopf is included in the Arlberg ski pass but is its own resort): sonnenkopf.com
FYI it’s closed though; they have one lift open but only for pedestrians (on foit not skis)

@horizon, how tight at its crux? looks nice.
I'm not intimate with StAnton, skied there a few times but with kids and wife in tow. not fully explored all its delights. Will do though in seasons to come

@horizon, nice one and looks in good condition! I assume the pistes are quite nice and spring-snow like atm?
@Mother hucker, this is a photo showing it from below (from October 2014, back when it still used to snow in Autumn haha). Not the most elegant tracks (my excuse is tired legs from the way up!) but shows the line well. There's always room to make turns:

Thanks!
Today the pistes are in excellent condition with light fluffy snow everywhere. A good few inches overnight have improved the world.
I must say up until today these are the worst skiing conditions I’ve found in my last twenty weeks’ skiing with hard icy pistes - sometimes mitigated by nice soft spring snow lower down. The pisteurs have worked miracles to achieve even this I’d say. St Anton itself is mostly brown - indeed the grass is turning green again. On the plus side I’ve barely queued at all.

Total nonsense. Weisse Ring has nothing to do with St.Anton.
Weisse Ring is pure Lech-Zürs-Lech, and the name exists since the 1950-ies
St.Anton has its own "Weisse Rausch"

You're getting mixed up Langerzug. The Weisse Rausch, the end of season all comers race from the Valluga to Galzig base station is not a ski circuit, it refers to that event. St. Anton's "Weisse Rausch" (White rush) originated from the 1931 movie of that name, filmed on Galzig (St. Anton) and featuring Leni Riefenstahl and Hannes Schneider.
The Weise Ring is a ski circuit, using established pistes and routes, starting and ending in Zurs, via Lech. The newly created "Run of Fame" added on pistes/routes when Warth and Flexenbahn opened up. It includes Rendl and Stuben as well.

@Langerzug, What's more, until the Flexenbahn gondola was opened there was no ski connection between St. Anton and Zurs. Unless you used a guide from the Valluga down to Zurs off piste. Or skinned it.

@davidthornton, I know exactly about Weisse Ring, Weisse Rausch, Run of Fame, Arnold Fanck, Leni Riefenstahl. Etc etc. And also about the skiconnection between St.Anton and Zürs. (Duh!)
And much more.

@clarky999, the high pistes are great, Osthang and Kapall as good today as I’ve seen them early season. No need to ski down to town, key is to stay high, we got the Galzigbahn lift down, I’d rather ski quality snow up high than mush down to town.

@stanton, Happy as always. Lack of snow at Christmas & New Year is hardly unusual, the snow will turn up in January but I agree paying for expensive ski holidays is currently not a good idea though plenty seem to be having a good time with what snow there is. Good weather for the Moose though and the thin snow cover might avoid too many trying to ski down in the dark

Interesting, you must have been very lucky on other trips. I thought piste conditions were quite good even before the additional snow… or maybe we skied different pistes.
Clearly things are not in great shape, but I’ve seen worse at Christmas several times, including once in St Anton about four years ago, maybe five.
Here’s a photo from a Kapall piste before the snow, and one from today from an offpiste run near the Arlenmähder (no hiking required).

That second photo definitely supports the assertion that the season is over and they'll have shut up shop by February...

On a non snow related question, staying in St Anton next week and was planning to go to the Hospitz Alm for lunch one day.
Looking online, they don’t seem to take reservations for 2 and for larger numbers, nothing showing as available for next week (though every day the week after is). What are the chances of turning up (sittings seem to be 12 and 2) and getting a table for 2-4 people? I’m sure I have been there before but not recently hence more recent experience appreciated!

You are aware that next week is still very much high season?
Apart from that, we went three years ago to Hospiz Alm. It did not live up to the high expectations, to put it mildly. Including trying to sell Grüner Veltliner of 2014....yikes!
Possibly the new ownership has improved things...If not I would suggest Verwall Stube, or lunch in Lech

@Langerzug, yes, certainly aware that it is high season but 2 weeks ago, every slot was available to book at lunch and it seems they don’t take 2 person reservations regardless of date which seems odd since that is probably the most popular table number?!
It certainly isn’t the end of the world if we don’t go there as reviews seem more mixed that in the past.
Lunch in Lech is certainly on the cards at some point too…!

Great day today. Pistes above Gampen are much better than many appear to believe, @stanton, you are clueless and should keep your negativity to yourself, conditions are fabulous. Not all open (Albona, and top of Rendl etc) but who cares it’s tgd best skiing I’ve seen for 3 years, and Galzig area is in top condition for time of year, happy days.

hey all, glad to hear there’s some good conditions up there, despite some of the horror stories circulating social media - we’re heading out on Weds for our first child-free trip in 6 years, usually do family trips to France so really looking forward to this & looks like snow is forecast on Tuesday?!
We’re staying in Lech & have 3 full days on the slopes before we fly back on Sunday - any recommendations for must-do runs, must-drink bars or must-eat restaurants to make the most of our short trip?
