There were more open yesterday (but not Rendl), looking at the cams it could well be that the top lifts are closed due to wind this morning?
Weather permitting more will be open; there'd better be as I'm there on Friday:-)
And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Rendl normally doesn't open till the week before Christmas.
(and in general they don't open that much terrain early even with good snow cover. Should be more open from next weekend, assuming wind, avalanche risk is ok).
So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

Folk allways make the same mistake & go high where it is crowded, cold & no viz. When the
Best is down low in trees & steeps & no crowds.
The best time to get high is is late season & in Amsterdam:-)
Valluga 1 & 11 are frequently closed in Dec & Jan.
Rendl will open pre xmas week.
You know it makes sense.

Good advice thanks- do you have any particular recommendations?

Oh yeah....Just one tip for now but ONLY go here if you know what your doing or you could die !
Stanton Sweet! Face shots, heated lifts, and the whole fricking mtn to your self. Although I did see at 1:14 you crossed a set of tracks. Must have been yours from a previous run, right?!
Glad the Arlberg, and the Alps in general are getting dumped on. Stay safe out there.
snowHeads are a friendly bunch.

Due to low traffic volumes there is still plenty of fresh POW to track out on the hill
The pre opening hike up Rendl is calling....All virgin POW up there:-)
High winds from south Friday Saturday (Fohn) more than likely rain in valley. Another
Low pressure system next week with more snow coming!
This weekend is also the biggest invasion of Germans for the Mooserwirt
Apres Ski Hits Party. They have had trouble in the past so if your going read the
Rules first on the website.

Folks the sun is up. The hill is in great shape this morning. Private sliding is what we like this time of the season.
Will have a few more days of this before the tourist season kicks in.

Folk are Off Piste all over the place ..Mostly regular Ski Bums, German Day trippers & Locals getting some turns in before the season starts !
TBH I dont know if any guides are on the hill this early in the season but I guess you cold find someone if you ask at the ski school. However this weekend the weather is going to be variable snow & flat light not a lot of fun IMO.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

The only time(s) I've skied with guides in St Anton, was late Nov-late Dec (before Christmas). Was with a guide from the ski school, drop them an email maybe.
Then you can post your own questions or snow reports...

stanton, Really nice, do you know where the first gully is? I don't recognise it.....that man Stefan Hauesl, top guy eh?
After all it is free

Markymark29, isn't it a variant of the gullies beneath the Zammermoosbahn?
You'll get to see more forums and be part of the best ski club on the net.

Met a couple of guys who went off piste with the ski school on Friday, saw a couple of other guides out doing private (I guess) groups yesterday. I've been off piste the last 3 days, it's fine. Not perfect - wind blown high up and heavy low down; a lot of melt/freeze going on too, so you need to work for it sometimes. Visibility has been so-so too. Still good though . Beats xmas shopping or working, thats for sure.
