Reminds me a bit of Killington, Vermont. Not convinced though, but that much tree-level skiing says North America, for sure.

Never been to Japan but I'm with you since I don't think this is the Alps or North America. Unusual towers, too many deciduous trees, and trees all the way to the summit.

Apologies, @MagSeven, not having been to Japan I had to match the date of the photo to your Snowhead post of the same day in 2015.
Sorry for the cheat, I don't get out enough.

@VaDinci, lovely childhood memories of learning to ski on that Mickey drag lift, and the exciting moment when I progressed to the long Belvedere one!

I'll pick up the baton. Bonus point for identifying the ski area visible in the distance.

I reckon that's Tandadalen or Lindvallen? Somewhere in the Salen area anyway. Looking over the border to Trysil?
Edit, actually maybe Stoten?

OK, pretty sure it's gotta be Tandadalen? I've been to Stoten, so that landscape immediately made me think of that region.

I really enjoyed it @mgrolf, but haven't been to the other areas to compare! We were a couple of families with young kids so it worked well. Not much vert/challenge, but for an overall experience, it was great.
Next pic...

Is it Montchavin, la Plagne? The mountains behind don't seem to be in the right place, though, so I'm not sure.

No.
Piste markers are French style, not Swiss, anyway. But I don't think it's anywhere on the French side of the hill either - pretty sure I'd recognise it. Red herring that the mountains behind do look a little like the Dents du Midi, but they're not.
