Not sure - think the snow level is still above Avoriaz - but should come down fairly soon.
7.5C here now.

Will do Sarah - quite excited by this one!
Still not sure what to expect at our altitude of 1200m - it'll all be in the timing of the rain turning snow - but should be lots higher up.
Mod to heavy rain here at 1200m and still 7.5C. Snow/rain limit appears to be approx. 1800m.

Temperature dropped to 2.3 now in Les Gets and there is some white stuff coming down amongst the rain. Can't imagine that anyone is out skiing this morning out of choice, lots of jobs being done around the chalet. Let's hope that the rain continues to turn whiter.

First few very wet flakes amongst the heavy rain...

Still heavy rain in Morzine town, 6 deg c.
Found snow line half way up zore chair at about 11am, since dropped down to close to super Morzine bubble but very wet and fat flakes. Good snow at top of zore chair just after 1pm and at least 5cm of fresh stuff on tetras piste. Back in chalet now drying out.

Snowing at 1200m in Les Gets. Not settling but considering how warm everything is I am not surprised.
Seemed to be a huge exodus this morning when I went down to Taninges and not many people coming back up. Am hoping this could be the best week of the season.

Still alternating between snow and sleet here in Chatel at 1200m. Any settling snow is above 1400m with any meaningful snow above 1600m.
Its just eased off - but looking at the radar there is a line of quite intense precip that is heading in our general direction, which might change the situation down here.

Has cleared in LG with a snowline of about 1150m. More clouds coming up the valley so hoping this was just a taster of what's to come.

Now stopped snowing in Les Gets and the sun has come out. The snow has settled (we are at about 1200m) on snow and on grass.

Bright here too in Chatel - that band of heavy precip (hopefully snow) still heading towards us - so might be an interesting evening.

seems like that here. We've had 5 - 6" at 1550m - wet snow, but it'll do a great deal for the pistes and was excellent for a snow peppa pig; it stopped for a while and has just started again. Fingers crossed it snows all night and the sun comes out in the morning.

Heavy rain then heavy wet snow now falling in Chatel 1200m - not settling yet.
It looks like this current band will have passed through before midnight-ish - and then we will be relying on showers.

About 8cm has fallen in the village here, still snowing lightly and when I left les Crosets late last night it was snowing hard with about 20cm fallen. During the afternoon there was a reasonable covering on Chavanette and Fornet too. Looks like an improvement

Snow has re-started here in Chatel this morning and 12cm on van roof and postbox at 1200m. No idea what to expect today as the snow is going to be showery in nature today and tonight.
Temp hovering around freezing.

Fun morning!
There was about 13cm on the van at 1200m of snow when we left for Pre La Joux at 8.30am - noticed more snow towards Linga at a similar altitude, as is sometimes the case and more again at Pre la Joux. Measured 40cm at just below the top of the Pre La Joux chair at 10.20 - so plenty of powder on the upper half of the mountain with probably closer to 45cm or more at the top - and there have been a couple of heavy bursts of snow since then. Was snowing heavily when we left PLJ at 12.15.
Quite sticky on the lower sections of Linga, but generally very good.
Now back at base and it has brightened up a touch. Further showers are likely this afternoon / evening and possibly tonight.
All good!

Big dump here in Champoussin, 30-40 cm, lovely smooth powder with firm packed base beneath it. Viz was reasonable in most places. Lads had fun messing about in the trees and excellent lunch as always at the Buvette des Sports in Morgins. Called it a day now as we need to pack up the apartment, but the last day of my season (probably) has quite unexpectedly turned out to be one of the best.

Bonus snow! I'd say there's c 30cm on the balcony now at 1200m in Les Gets and it's still snowing.
Very excited, should be empty slopes and great snow this morning, marginal visibility but still... Feels very strange to be wearing my thermals again!
It's been a strange season in that just as soon as the snow is starting to get unskiable (IMO) we've had a bit of a dump. Friday evening the Front de Neige in LG was probably 1/4 brown. Am not complaining!

Still snowing lightly in Les Gets - Cedric with his plough cleared the drive earlier and its all covered again. And like MeMyselfandI, double the number of layers yesterday, vents closed on the helmet and a liner too. Probably just popping out very locally today - I needed the trees of the Melezes yesterday as poor viz without them. We went into the Paika for a warming coffee during the morning - and for the first time there were no English voices in there, all French.

Pamski, lots of English voices today, was busier than I expected and a lot of people very hungover/still drunk on the lift...
Nice snow, terrible visibility.
