Horrible news.
I have such a love/hate relationship with this sport.
Her surgeon is the same one who saw to LBs knee for me a few years ago, it bought back horrible memories.
This will be a very hard road Sue, she has basically broken almost all there is to break

@codyaitch, you need to stalk (aka Follow) all the others then you can see their scores. It is under the Group option, whether we can see anyone else's scores remains to be seen to be honest.
Those still having problems with accessing the site - you need to deactivate any AdBlock Add Ons you have working. I turned mine off when I need the site and switch them back on when I'm not in there. It is under the "Manage Add-Ons" option depending on yur browser of choice!
I am now working easily in Chrome on my selections etc.

@Kooky, too true. I feel the same about motorcycle racing. I love the excitement of it and the racers are my idols. But just a tiny error or even mechanical failure can be career-changing, or even worse...

Dustin Cook is also out now after a fall while training
|
|
|
|
|
|
Another one of the top men is out - Matthias Mayer is not taking part in case any of you had him as an outsider tip (he's not on the list so you should not have him included! ) He is the current Men's Olympic Downhill Champion and would have been taking part even though he does not appear on the selection. He injured himself in a fall over on the Pitztal Glacier last week (bruised ribs I believe) and he is not fit enough to take part this weekend. He will focus on getting fit for the first Speed events (Lake Lousie 28th November DH & Super-G )
Update on Anna Fenninger:
She underwent a 2 hour long operation yesterday to repair the MCL, ACL and patella tendon as well as trim/repair the lateral and medial menisci in her right knee. She had the post-op drains removed this morning and has begun passive mobilisation using a CPM (Continuous Passive Motion machine) this afternoon. She is also receiving regular LDM (Lymph Drainage Massage to help reduce the swelling. He pain control has been described a moderate (i.e. not heavy duty) and that the biggest hurdle at the moment is taking it all in. She is currently a patient in the Private Clinic Hochrum which is run by her surgeon Professor Hoser

I'm back! Sorry some new contract work (at last! nearly 2 years out of work!) has had me a bit preoccupied for the last month or so and I missed that season started this weekend but picks will done today for the rest of season to be updated as we go!

OK - so we have the first weekend results and Kooky (Elanski) has topped the Hopefuls group for both races - well done.
So far I can't find a record of accumulated points for both races (I can/will do that for Hopefuls) and therefore no overall position against other country players or all other players as we have had previously, and of course no table or means of calculating where the Hopefuls team stands against other teams.
Maybe I haven't found it or there is more to be released before Levi - have to wait and see
And I still can't 'follow' FastCarver to pick up your points - can you 'follow' me on the Hopefuls table to see if that opens the link

@codyaitch, I got 386 for the womens race and 383 for the mens. It's saying I was top for our group for the womens race and 2nd for the mens.
I'll follow you and hopefully you'll see me.

Doesn't appear to be any progress on the FSRL site on accumulated scores and I am not impressed by the 'new' site so far but I think I understand the scoring process and have been able to reconcile a sample of Hopefuls against the FSRL scores - and I reckon this is where we are in the Hopefuls league :-
Kooky tops the league by 0.75 points
Kooky (Elanski) - 769.75 - 83rd overall
FastCarver74 (FastCarver) - 769.00 - 85th overall
Samerberg Sue (Suzy_Proell) - 718.50 - 336th overall
Dr Che (Dr Che) - 664.50 - 652nd overall
Codyaitch (Amex Skidoos) - 656.75 - 687th overall
Queen Bodecia (queenie) - 579.00 - 897th overall
Briand6868 (briand6868) - 0.00
Davkt (Goingbackward) - 0.00
George (georgedelaney) - 0.00
WayneC (WayneC) - 0.00
Davkt has submitted a 'note from his Mum' for not submitting a pick - is everybody else geared up for Levi on 14th and 15th November ?

My picks are in for the season and will be tweaked before each race so (hopefully) no more 0 scores from me and hopefully some podium places at some point, a second win would be good!

Levi slalom weekend has been cancelled, so the next races will take place in North America at the end of the month. Apparently Levii is too warm and too dry, so not chance of even making snow although they have been trying to.

FIS says "a possible replacement will be communicated in due course."
|
|
|
|
|

@FastCarver74, as the programme is already fairly full, it will be interesting to see where they add them. They always say they are going to arrange alternative dates and venues, but sadly it does not always work out. Several races from last season were cancelled because of poor conditions, some were re-scheduled but others just fell by the way side as there was no time or not suitable courses available. As we say here "Schau ma' mal und wir seh'n es scho' "

Thats a pity, I had all my " sure things " ready and waiting @Samerberg Sue, Agree, I'd doubt if there's room to fit things in. Calender looks packed to me. Maybe if FIS had a re-think about the City Events and made them exhibition style instead of World Cup there might be a slot.

briand6868, exactly my opinion - I think the broadcasting rights for the City Events maybe a deciding factor though! highly profitable for some if not for others
|
|
|

There are no City Events, unless you count Zagreb as one.

@rjs, there are parallel slaloms in Alta Badia and also in Stockholm I believe, Munich was cancelled early on because of the problems over the past couple of years with snow cover. Don't have access to the calendar at the moment - the ones in towns like Munich, Moscow, Stockholm or Vienna are called "City Events".

Lots of racing scheduled for this coming weekend folks, don't forget to make your picks! The men have speed events in Lake Louise and the ladies have technical events in Vail/Aspen.
The Ladies schedule has changed to include the slalom from Levi, so we now have 2 slaloms and a GS for them, while the men have a DH and a Super-G as per the original FIS schedule.
If you have any doubts about any of the racers fitness then ask. One of the American girls, Leanne Smith is now out for the season but she is a speed skier, so we would not have seen her until the Ladies races in Lake Louise. I've got a list of the current injured & retired statuses if you need help!

@Samerberg Sue, Hi Sue- I have done all my picks but would find the list you referred to above handy. Could you post a link to it?
Looked at the results of the first LL training yesterday - I may tweak my positioning before Saturday.....

@lynnecha, just asked a friend for an updated list as a couple of racers have gone home for the season this week . If you list your racers (does not matter for the order I can tell you if they are racing or not.
The Women's GS is tomorrow evening then their are 2 slaloms over Sat/Sun.
