@northantsred, I hope so. It's still french hols for one more week but only one zone and not Paris or the local zone so I'm hoping it will be much quieter. This past week has been busy.

Sadly I was wrong It was really busy up there today to say it's a changeover day and almost the end of the holidays. And it's gridlocked through town and at the supermarket I hear.

Very wet and miserable here this morning. Bit of a dusting overnight but warmed up and turned to rain. Been raining most of the day so far at 1200m. I was out hospital visiting this morning but hubby and son went up as son had ski club. It was raining up there too. Hubby estimates that still wet at the top of Rochassons and then he went over to Avoriaz where he reports ice blowing in his face on the Lac des Intrets chair. Nice day

Hiked up pt des chesery today, didn't bother with the summit as without and definition of trees we would struggle to maintain bearings. Estimate we ended up at 2200m. Still rain. Not a good day.

I heard a fair bit of avalanche blasting early this morning. Was thinking that somewhere higher up must have got some decent snowfall for that to be required. Either that or the rain saturated snowpack is causing a danger somewhere.....

Saturday - AM :
Happy Valley relatively untracked as visiblity was poor for the first 300M, under Cornebois chair - nice early, tracked later.
SC smooth park was - well smooth, boarder X was empty.
Linga all good, busy in the afternoon though - any idea where all those people came from ?
Sunday - miserable!
Monday - sunny, but deskbound

Hmmm…..all looking a bit soggy on the webcams and doesn’t sound as though it was much fun yesterday. Looks to be a big puddle at the bottom of the Tronchey chair in Torgon. Hope it cools a bit and drops some before the weekend. Still any ski trip is better than a week in the office.

wow, it seems that God really pushed the weather for us with six days of blue skies sandwiched by 2 Saturdays when it snowed. Also a couple of days looking down to morzine under the fog/cloud, really great week we had.

More positive news - tested the blue runs down from Pleney to Mouilles, Atray and Fys lifts today. Piste conditions very good - slightly harder in the morning then softening. Red pistes in particular quiet at lunchtime. Some snow predicted on Cham meteo too.

Hi all, new to this forum so I hope I am in the correct thread. We are due to go to Morzine on the 14th March so I have been keeping an eye on the weather.
A long range forecast it stated that the weather is to get warmer with no snowfall after Saturday 7th March until Tuesday 10th March (this is as far as it will forecast), how worried should I be that we will have little to no snow on Saturday 14th March?

@TomsTurbo, It will all be worn out by 14 March. We arrive for the lads' trip 8-14 and will be doing our best to use it all up!
@sarah, Glad to see there was some fresh up top. I was concerned with all that talk of rain (and not just talk I understand!).

@BergenBergen, yes sadly it was very busy yesterday, however judging by Monday they are all fair weather skiers so given the forecast you should be ok and Saturday should be quiet!

There is a rise in temperature from the weekend on to next week, any weather experts know how long this will last for?

Fantastic day out today, went to Pras de Lys and as usual it was sooo quiet!
The snow was fantastic, off piste skiing on piste all day.
Snowed a bit in Les Gets village this evening, hoping for more overnight to add to the fun.

@Chattonmill, I assume the Pras De Lys lift pass is separate to the Portes Du Soleil pass. Do you just buy a day pass when you visit there?
