I saw the different filter options. Even when filtering by nationality Raich was still present. It maybe they haven't updated everything fully yet. My picks were certainly placeholder until nearer the day.
LV really gets my goat, comes across as the good ol american girl. Makes me want to vomit TBH. I was so glad that Fenninger overshadowed her in her own back yard at the World Champs.

I'm trying to add you to the team but the site won't let me, then it hangs. I've emailed Mike Nyman hopefully he will get the programmers on to the problems I've highlighted. I'm an Admin on the site but only for checking injuries lists etc. When racers are out for the season because of injury, then they are removed from the selection choices.
All the retired racers will stay on the lists until the first race in that category, after that their names should automatically disappear. The start groups for the first race in each discipline are based on the final position in that particular one from the preceding season. Top 7 have the first pick, then the next group of 7, etc up to number 30, after that bibs are allocated on your position in the WCSL against the other entries.
BTW Svindal is not on the speed discipline lists either for the men! Now that is a serious ommission

OK, the FSR site is not working for Chrome at all but it is working in IE - I'm using IE11.

queen bodecia, I'm now following you (whatever that means) and will add you to the team if and when FastCarver74 gives us a valid user-name so I can add the two of you to the Hopefuls team.
Make sure you have your selections ready for next week as we will have an internal league this season 'cos we are now 8 members. The following are definitely NOT taking part
Men: Bode Miller, Beat Feuz, Carlo Janka, Aksel Lund Svindal plus Neureuther may not, but I think he is playing a mind game. However he has not had much snow time, so there is a strong chance he may not take part.
Women: Julia Mancuso has recently announced she won't be doing any technical events, so she won't be at the start.
I'll get an up-to-date list of the injuries and "not doing it for any silly reason I can think of" suspects out as soon as I can collate it.
Only a week to go! I'll be in Sölden from next Thursday hoping to watch the training on both Thursday and Friday as well as the bib draw on Friday night, if I pick up any juicy tips or bits of info I'll pass it on.

I think Bodie Miller has announced he will not be racing this season. Though he hasn't gone as far as announcing his retirement.

@ansta1, Miller is playing a "will he/won't he" game to keep the sponsorship deals up and running that he signed last season. He's gone unless he wants to be like Patrick Jaebyn, still competing at 40+. I'm pretty sure he won't make it back this time as he will have to start from a much lower position (high start number i.e. above 35) probably as he will not have the protected status an injured racer has. I think Maze will probably do some races this season in order to keep her start position. If she does not, then the chances are we won't see her race seriously again either. 
If you want to understand Miller's motivation or that of Vonn, read Nathaniel Vinton's book "The FallLine - How American Racer's Conquered a sport on the Edge". I'm not a fan of either but the book makes fascinating reading. I read it on my kindle.

@Kooky, you need to clear out the cache to clear the cookies from last season. Then enter via Internet Explorer on your laptop as that is the only browser I've got to work. Using Firefox or Chrome just gives me the opening page and it does nothing. The layout is completely different so do try and get in early so you have time to play.

FastCarver74, I've tried every combination but the search function is not showing you - eventually it will show up when they sort out the problems - in the mean time you and Queen B need to just play the game and we will try to add both of you as we go along. Your results will be added to the team scores once you are in the team. They seem to have concentrated on getting the Apple-based App to work and there are lots of coding bugs in the computer interfaces. It seems that the new version does not play on chrome or firefox and is very unstable on IE.

Ivica Kostelic is not doing any GS or Super-Gs this season. He will only race in slalom and combination races.
Marmottan and Baud (French Ladies team) Baud will make up her mind after some training but is doubtful. Marmottan is definitely another no show.

@queen bodecia, I think they have concentrated on Apple based browsers at the expense of Windows-based ones.
I've seen you are following me, if you search for the All New Snowheads Hopefuls team you'll find the rest of us! Any chance of you being able to do that?
Otherwise just make your selections and we'll add you and FastCarver74 as soon as the site allows me to do so. I think I'm the only person able to do this as I'm the "team captain" but that may have changed too!

@Kooky, me neither but I think they were looking at marketing it for smart phones and tablets, not desktops and laptops! Did you get in using your normal browser or did you switch to Internet Explorer?
@briand6868, clear your cache, then try from a Google search. If that does not work try going in via IE, it is the only way I've got it to work. I've not had any response to my comments about how unstable some of the options are and the difficulties of getting in via other browsers.

@queen bodecia, no it is a very flaky site, but I'm sure it works like a dream on an iPhone 6 (or whatever number is the latest)!
Everyone just get your picks in, I'll update the racers on Friday (Ladies) and Saturday (Men) when I get the start lists.
There is a huge doubt about Vonn by the way, she is flying in from Las Vegas today, but has not been on snow since her withdrawal from snow training in New Zealand with a "broken" ankle (I suspect very badly sprained ligaments, which is actually a far worse injury). The scuttlebutt is that the others were creaming her with training times, especially Shiffrin, so the injury was a painful way out. Sölden is not her hill by any stretch of the imagination - she first raced there in 2002 and has only podiumed once, in 2011 when she won. The rest of the times, she struggled to make the top 20 let alone the top 10!

@maggi, are you on Facebook? If you are, I run a Group called Ski World Cup Discussion Group which tries to keep everyone up to date and also posts a running commentary on the races for those who do not have access to live TV broadcasts. We have Admins who are native speakers of English, French and Italian plus some Eastern European languages (most of the Admins are fluent in more than one language as well). You have to apply to join and the Admins check your page for evidence of an interest (in order to keep the spam-bots out).
@queen bodecia, managed to finally send you an invite for the team - hope you get it. I went in via my iPad App and it worked (sort of - see below)
@FastCarver74, I can see that you are "following" me and I'm following you, but every time I search the database to add you to the team (the only way to do it), I get a "does not exist" message. Can you please PM me your email address so I can try to invite you via that method? That way we will have an even number of members and will have an internal league within the team again.

Looks like she's out for season... pretty much all knee ligaments are gone.

Anna Fenninger is defintely out for the whole season.
So far it has been confirmed that she has ruptured the ACL and may have done more damage to other ligaments. As I get the reports in German, I'll pass on a translation. It is a serious injury that's for sure

She has torn the Medial Collateral ligament, the Anterior Cruciate ligament AND the Patella Tendon in her right knee. This was her "good knee" previously. She will be operated on immediately but the season is definitely over for her as this will be a long hard road back for her.
