Sadly no, I returned to UK from Wengen on 16th March, I just saw some posts from other DHO members about the new snowfall. Enjoy the new snow, it should improve things for the end of the season.

Have they opened Schilthorn @colinstone, ? We skied......poled through the woods to Aspen which was healthy exercise, rather than skiing. I measured one snow depth at 19". 47 CMS.
If it clears tomorrow could be fantastic.
@Rogerdodger, About 50 skiers around including large Gold Hill contingent under basic instruction. Pretty quiet and now tired, so home.

Well 53rd ski day of my season and at last a terrific powder morning.
Sunlight was a bit frustrating coming and going but lovely to make a good few turns in some A1 powder.
Sue said she saw you @colinstone, not sure where.

@Rogerdodger, I was probably in the Eiger NW bowl or in the Lauberhorn bowl. Great snow and a fitting final day - lots by feel in the visibility. Head north tomorrow.

@Chris Brookes, This last 5 days have been extraordinary. My final ski day was yesterday.
We went up to First, the powder conditions were fantastic, it appeared that a great deal of the area was closed on Friday and had not been pisted.
Lovely day to finish a frustrating season. As you suggest, the run into Easter weekend is going to be a fabulous week with significantly more snow coming in.

Are you still here @Alastair Pink, ?
I am in Kleine bahnhof drinking coffee. It is that type of day. Going to ski to Brandegg then cut across to Aspen through the woods. May even cut across the meadows to catch the train at Schwendi!! Oh the excitement.....
Is that along the route of old red run that used to go across there? Can you still do it "off piste" as it were if there's plenty of snow?
And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Quick question - can one retrieve ski passes (Alpspass-partner - for me it's Portes du Soleil) in Ost Interlaken Banhoff?
So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

...and do we expect the snow to hold for another 2 weeks? All my weekends are booked until mid April!
You know it makes sense.

Quite correct@DixieDean, we managed to cut through on 2 occasions. On our second run through, which was last Fri. it was skied into a rough piste..
At the time we discussed whether it is still marked on the piste map, no conclusion was ever made.
Otherwise you'll just go on seeing the one name:

It still appears on the piste map, on the online one it's shown as a light grey line, so could apparently be resurrected if necessary, a bit like the Gummi black, which suddenly appeared for a season a couple of years ago (they turn it red if it's operational). It's showing on the pdf version as piste 23.

Mürren News
The Lauterbrunnen–Grütschalp aerial cableway will be renewed in 2026. The modernisation also offers an opportunity to implement improvements. The new, lightweight aerial cableway will be able to transport 135 people instead of just 100. This will align the cableway's capacity with that of the Grütschalp-Mürren adhesion railway, which was modernized in recent years. The cabin will also be painted in the same color as the adhesion railway and, unlike before, will operate without an attendant. In addition to the cabin, the suspension system and the running gear will also be replaced.
The infrastructure is also being adapted to meet current needs. The platform facilities at both the valley and mountain stations are being renovated. To improve passenger flow and safety, an additional platform, a new escalator, and high platform doors are being installed at the Lauterbrunnen valley station. The ticket office is also being modernized.
The adhesion railway and the aerial tramway already recuperate electricity during their descent. Now, thanks to the installation of an energy storage system, the energy generated during the descent will be stored directly on-site instead of being fed back into the grid. This allows the energy to be used directly during the cable car's ascent, which is both ecologically and economically sound.
During the construction phase, from April 13th to July 10th, 2026 inclusive, operations will be suspended. For travel to Mürren, the connection via Stechelberg is available.

Just back from a royal weekend to the area and I found the answer - we got our invites in Wilderswill (as it was close to the hotel).
On Saturday we actually parked there and took the train to the Eiger Express, with a view to come back via Lauterbrunnen.
The morning was spent discovering the area, especially pistes 21 and 15, then Lauberhorn to Allmend (unfortunately the end is closed now) . But but by midday it was not enjoyable that side so we stuck to 31/26, before discovering 32. But then it was too warm so up Wixi for one last Lauberhorn, then train from Allmend back to Wilderswill via Lauberhorn.
On Sunday, after a stop by Wilderswill for the tickets we drove to Stechelberg. It was very foggy so I didn't realise how vertical that Murren direct lift was. Once in Birg we couldn't see anything (plus we've never been there) so warmed up on 11 before daring hitting 9. By then we t was clearing enough to try 10 from Piz Gloria, then back down to visit 17 (that part of Inferno was closed). By midday we decided to try that revolving restaurant and the Bond exhibition, and then as we wanted to leave we noticed a huge crowd of boarders coming from freestyle - early on it was so foggy we hadn't noticed the area!
Finally we did the Thrill thingie because why not, and headed down to join tourists in Lauterbrunnen.
Overall I was quite impressed, the new facilities are certainly quite a thing. And yes that new vertical below Murren (I realised only when going down as there was no fog by then) is a world record.
Note: we didn't go to the "top" of Europe. Not just because it's a clear misnomer (give me Aiguille du Midi please), but because that'd have been even less time to ski.
I've been in Mürren since Friday at the Telemark Only event that has been held this weekend with skiing at Birg down to the Rigli chairlift and from the Schilthorn. The snow has been in pretty good condition for the time of year, here's a video of the run down from the Schilthorn: http://youtube.com/v/gmoSjsC6k9k?si=64q9SFWQEWqWUN1H

I've just had an evening stroll through Mürren, I see that the Eiger guesthouse is having building work done, Chris Brookes might be interested:

Wow, I had no idea it was still open! Thought the season there would end on 26/4 (or at least that's what I had seen previously). Great to hear it.
Conditions were also pretty good in Engelberg until yesterday; a pity the season must come to an end at some point

Yes, the normal season ended on 26/4 as you said, but they run the Rigli lift specially for the 3 days of the Telemark Only event (and of course the cable car from Birg up to Schilthorn runs as normal).
