I'm seeing between 40 and 60cm expected over the next 36 hours, how much more do you want?

Just wanted to say thanks for the various replies to my post a few days ago. We had a great day yesterday starting in Ardent, working our way over to Les Crosets for a great lunch at Coquoz. In the afternoon we came back over and spent a few hours in the Pre Le joux area which was great, particularly the red run that goes way off to the lookers left from the top of the Cornebois lift. The Ripaille run over near Les Crosets was a fun adventure as well even with the sticky snow lower down.
Had a great morning this morning on Mont Chery before the clouds and wind came in. Almost private skiing and the pistes were perfect/carvable. A bargain too for €28. Anyways thanks again and hope some of you get to enjoy the snow incoming.

I spent almost a week skiing only on Mont Chéry in Les Gets. I was really lucky with the weather, to be fair, but it’s definitely one of the best places I’ve skied in France so far. The difference between Mont Chéry and the other side of Les Gets is hard to describe.

I presume this offer is available to first time season-pass buyers?

@franga, Yes, the flash sale posted is. There's also a "Vente Privée" for renewals of existing season tickets, at a much lower price, but the additional days elsewhere are included for any season ticket holder, nothing to do with either of these sales.

@turms2, I'm sure it will be fine, nothing more forecast between now and then, and FWIW the snow has now stopped over this side at least, and not quite as much fell overnight as was forecast. It will be a shovel but not a snow-blower snow clearance once I get round to it. Edit: it's started snowing again, not heavily, but still.

So I guess this PdS lot will invade Cham next year? TBH it's been difficult to find the time this season, I'd have preferred 3 days in Tarentaise instead of all those Swiss ones for example.

Just arrived in town. Can’t wait to get out in the morning.
Can anyone confirm how windy it is up top please?
Any danger of lift closures?

Too late now, but the weather over the last few days has been changing so fast that any prediction would have been worthless anyway. Earlier in the week, the wind switched from almost due West on Wednesday to very strong and from the East on Friday, then over the weekend it's moved around several times. And even yesterday the forecast for today was 50/50 cloud and sun, which was absolutely not the case, with only the occasional patch of sunshine breaking through earlier and completely overcast after about 12.
Anyway, I hope it wasn't too bad up there - I stayed over on the Swiss side which was virtually empty with poor vis at times and quite strong winds on a couple of slopes whose aspect funnelled it in a particular direction.

Just arrived in Châtel and it’s quite cold wind chill in the village and looks like more snow coming. Jura’s were blanketed in snow from about 800m.

All good. Had a great day. Snow was awesome and the sun did make an appearance.
Yes the wind was strong and vile in places. Lifts like Lac Intrets just bitter. But worth it for the lovely snow up there.
I’m certainly not complaining, just going to put another layer on tomorrow.

W/c 6 April. Looks like we may have missed the boat. Pondering on whether to stay in Morzine and get up to Avoriaz each day for kiddy lessons and wife and I for a morning's skiing, but temps rising significantly next week and looks like rain. Any alternative views?

yr says sunny 'til midweek. Which might change, but one thing's for sure the temps will raise. This being April I'd say go to Avo.
Having said that the PdS end of season kids' race is being held in plateau de Nyon this coming Monday, it's the first time in a few years, this event having been cancelled or relocated to Arare in Avo lately... Ideally you'd decide each day but of course with lessons... Naaah, I'd stick to Avo (and its crowds).

Thanks for the reports. Going out there Sunday and hoping the heating up between Sunday and Wednesday isn't too dramatic. Likewise whatever precipitation comes after Wednesday, falls as snow as it's cold enough. Kids at ski school in Avoriaz so we'll go high as we can whilst they're learning I think. Anywhere we should particularly focus on if we want to get the best of the conditions on Monday?

And if you buy in the flash sale ( or even at full price later) you will get an offer to renew in a private Pre flash sale next year (€ 599 for the 26/27 winter season). Absolute bargain.
