Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Niche question for PDS snowheads:
We are a couple of families arriving in Avoriaz (via prodains lift) at around 1pm tomorrow - but we cant check into our apartment until 4pm.
If we are lucky there might be a luggage store at the apartment block (Alpages 1) but its a private booking via Vrbo so I suspect the reception won't know anything about us - need a backup plan if we cant get in until 4pm so can anyone recommend a good place to plonk ourselves for a couple of hours with all our luggage (there will be quite a lot of it). The place we are staying is just at the top of the 1st escalator up from the main strip (Prom. du Festival) so I imagine somewhere on the strip near the escalator is probably our best bet! (fingers crossed the escalator is running!)
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Bar Tavaillon opposite the tourist office should sort you out for a couple of rounds of drinks. Unless it's busy (unlikely this week) they should find a corner for you to dump your stuff (not to leave unattended though without asking first).
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

The roads should be far easier tomorrow than they are today, when nobody's going to have any real worries about arriving too early!
