 Poster: A snowHead

I am between this two resort (at least at the moment) for the week 20th till 27th Dec.
I know Flaine really good, Les Saisies from the skiing perspective is also clear what has to offers , however my questions has to do with the other activities.
Flaine has not so much, except some events, however was not there in the Christmas Week.
Which will be better for the Christmas Feeling? Les Saisies seems pretty nice but is there something else except skiing? some events for Christmas etc? was someone in one of them during this week? I does not bother me to drive to the other villages in Espace Diamant, however driging from Flaine to Les Carroz is something i would like to avoid.
But driving from les Saisies to the other villages seems easier....
Any thoughts? suggestions?

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

I've spent many Christmas weeks in Saisies and have just booked an apartment for my daughter and a group of 7 (I won't be joining them this time). There are some Christmas events and the town is very lit up and pretty, with everyone shopping for the Christmas specials in the boulangerie etc. There used to be a torchlit descent with mulled wine after, and a Father Christmas parade, but I don't think that happened last year. I wouldn't say there was anything spectacular - it's very much a family place and I think most families are celebrating at home. As for the other villages in the Espace Diamant, the way to visit them is on skis, really. The whole domaine is well linked if there's enough snow for the whole thing to open. I'd say Saisies would feel more "intimate and village-like" than Flaine. Where are you thinking of staying?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

And if the wider domain is NOT all open Les Saisies will have the best snow. Which is why it gets busy.

@Origen, i am thinking somewhere in Les saisies...i will be with the Kids so do not want something like Parties etc or so spectacular...what you mentioned is probably enough
I know that the resorts are linked with skis but if somewhere there is a christmas Markt etc do not mind to drive there in the afternoon
Last Christmas Week we were in Vaujany. Although there are some events , there was nothing special, and there was not a "Christmas" feeling in the village...You didnt have the feeling thats it was the Christmas Week...and i think in Flaine will be also something like this.
Thats why i am looking somewhere where there will be a better athmosphere , some events so that the kids feel that its Christmas...not party etc. I suppose you know what you mean.
