Its currently raining heavy down here at village level. Fingers crossed for up the mountain. The current snow line is 300 metres above the valley, so not expecting much snow down here. It makes atm for a sad view from the balcony. The side of the Gaisberg is beginning to develop bare patches
Bergfex forecasting cold temps, but not that low..

So glad bergfex got the snow line wrong

Hi!
We’re stepping out of our usual Tignes/Val d'Isère/Val Thorens/Les 3 Vallées routine for the first time in many years and heading to Kitzbühel at the end of February. It'll be our first time there.
My two teenage daughters (13 & 15) would like to join a ski school for a few days, mainly to ski with other kids. Which ski school would you recommend? Is there a course similar to the "Team Rider" program they enjoy with ESF in France? Both are strong skiers.
Also, which lift pass would you recommend—KitzSki or Super Ski?
Thanks in advance for your advice!

All depends how long you are here for
You can pay an extra 33 euros to upgrade your normal Kitz ski pass if you decide to go across the valley to the skiwelte for the day ( locals with annual ski passes can’t it’s bizarre)
At the age of your daughters it would be hard joining a group of similar ages especially if they are as you describe strong skiers
It will be more expensive but an individual instructor may be preferable for the two of them Not aware of what Team Rider is?
The end of Feb is Dutch Fasching week so more busier than normal
Are you in Kitzbuhel or kirchberg?

Thanks !
We will be there for a week (Feb 22nd to March 1st) and will stay in Kitzbühel.
The cost is not really the issue for the course but my daughters would like to spend time with other teenagers and not only with their parents "Team Rider" is an all-terrain/freestyle course for good skiers who don't want to train for competition.

Pleased to say that we are still having great conditions here.
The low night temps are keeping the pistes hard and compact
Forecast says its going to remain similar, with a small amount of snow ie 4cms possibly later on in the week.
Though we are getting up to 8 hours of sunshine during the day, it was only 3.8 degrees up top.

And that’s it for another season
Skiied for about an hour from the Flek
Very grippy so easy to do in a knee so that was enough
Still plenty of people still going up when I was coming down
As Easter next year is beginning of April I suspect today will be the latest day I will be able to say I’ve skiied Kitz for a fair few years
This seasons been one of the best for actual on piste conditions
The amount of snow we’ve had is low but most of the winter it’s been especially cold at night making for nice hard compact on piste skiing
So ski equipment away and golf/tennis out of the cupboards
Looking forward to catching up next year with some who’ve already booked up
Ps
With the Pope passing the bells have been ringing constantly for the last half an hour
Seems ironic it’s also a fitting way to recognise the end the ski season

@jafa, my experience too, despite the small amount of snow fall piste skiing was actually good to very good from early December to late March. Until recently it has been fairly cold (certainly by standards of recent winters). Been out on the bike since the beginning of April though.
