Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Taxi from Moutiers to Val Thorens

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I will arrive at the Moutiers train station on the 19th at around 19:00. The latest bus departs at 17:00, so I am forced to take a taxi to Val Thorens. Is it necessary (or cheaper) to book a taxi in advance or can I just take a taxi near the train station?

...Or look at a night's accommodation in Moutiers Puzzled May possibly be cheaper than a taxi?

Last time I looked into this, it was definitely cheaper to book in advance.
As @mountainaddict sugggests, it is considerably cheaper to stay in moutiers and get the first bus in the morning.

We paid €120 for a pre-booked taxi for 4 from Moutiers to VT last year.

@johandrees,
Have you asked your VT accommodation provider?

Thanks all for the replies. I am visiting friends that will already be in Val Thorens on sunday, which is why I would like to get there as soon as possible. Asking the accommodation provider is probably a good idea.

I don't remember who we used. I just googled "taxi Moutiers" and then sent off for a couple of quotes.

The prices were fairly standard across the board (with a few outliers) from what I recall
