Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

@bobcat, I'm going through a similar process I have been quoted £594 for a 9 day pass, US and Canadian lift passes have in our experience been higher than in Europe, but then the queuing for a lift is far more civilised :D PS. With Ski Independence

@kabooooooom, to add to the above comments we have gone the week before Christmas for the last two years and its been fabulous , great snow and uncrowded pistes, have only seen the Konig from the out side and it could do with some TLC. We also went late March this year and last and the weeks were different but still good snow, this year was warm at the end of the week but still good

@Fridge03, there’s pleanty of snow depth on piste and with it becoming cooler next week should be very good, even with the warmer conditions we have been able to ski everything we wanted.
You know it makes sense.

@boabski, we eat there last night for the first time in a couple of years @tatmanstours, had assured me the ribs were as good as ever, he was wrong they are so much better, think he was trying to save them for himself, they are proper smoked ribs and to Mrs R’s delight they also do sweet potato fries. The Big John red is also pretty good. It was definitely busier than the last time we went, we also like that you can book a table beyond 7pm

@ianbradders, we have put a lot of effort in trying to eat our way through @tatmanstours, list 7 weeks so far :-D . The Zwolfeekogel is the first one after the tunnel coming from Saalbach, the bus goes through the car park, compared to other gondolas in the ski circus it’s old.

One of the many things I like about Saalbach-Hinterglemm is the number of good mountain restaurant, we stopped for the first time at the Breitufssalm ( http://www.breitfussalm.at )for lunch, fantastic. Its on @tatmanstours, recommend list of Mountain restaurants, which we are working our way through.

Thinking of taking the 680 bus to Zell to ski over there for a day, how easy is it to take the bus, I know we will have to pay, but are they OK with you getting on with your boots and Skis also how close is the stop to the City Express lift.
You know it makes sense.

@buchanan101, your right, it’s not there lol {IMG16156_2674_right} Is that drag stll there over the tunnel? On your other question we go to Leogang using 2b, early is good especially if its going to be warm. Haven’t experienced the new lift at peak times, with the old one it moved pretty quickly

@buchanan101, your question was bugging me and the most knowledgeable snowhead in Saalbach didn't know I thought I would ask the Tourist board " Piste 54 is a freeride route and closed due to security reasons - a snow-free asphalt road is on the track"

@ajfvr, Welcome to Snowheads, I would highly recommend Japan, its not all powder! In fact the Japanese are far more into on piste skiing and love to carve, we skied Zao amazing experience and Shiga Kogen which is a large resort, its not the three valleys but still plenty to ski and you get the added attraction of the Snow Monkeys. As has been commented if you have the chance to do it go for it. https://snowheads.com/ski-forum/viewtopic.php?t=73205 http://www.shigakogen.gr.jp/english/

@Markymark29, we have been using the TOG24 ones for quite some time and they are light sturdy and waterproof, Mrs Radar has just replaced hers after many years and lots of Duck tape with the new version https://www.tog24.com/bootham-100l-roller-dark-grey-marl.html.

@aroma111, have you looked at “ski a la carte” not sure if its an option for you. The carre neige insurance is linked to the pass, I added it on to ours and had to have the passes reissued.
