Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

UK will be trading with EU on EU terms. If it doesn't, UK will be second Venezuela. This will not happen. Trading with EU means being under EU jurisdiction, without say in EU parliament. Well done Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson you got your freedom and prosperity back.

I can only remind you what Atomic's boot guru, Matt Manser has been repeating over and over again: go to boot fitter, get yourself custom foot beds!

hi we are going to Cham for Xmas. we are with kids but want to do some hill strength training skinning up (full kit)- fast approach and ski down and repeat. I understand it is illegal to use piste for skinning up and there a only three or four ski de randonnee tracks where we can train, they finish just above the tree level (judging from available online maps). Also i heard it is possible to use piste after lifts are closed? Any advice or suggestions? Thank you!

There is no scientific research, not even logical explanation how it would work! They feel nice and that is the reason I use Adidas or UA for winter training /running climbing ski etc. Weight training stretching and nutrition works. It is hard work though!

@Fontmoss I have similar experience and after some research just bought chetlers 100 shift combo( on sale). i wanted 50/50 skis light enough for touring which would be good to maneuver on moguls as well. Will be testing them next week in Aravis. Good luck.

started 5 seasons ago I ma 42 now, doing maybe 20 days a year with kids if i am lucky. Had lessons from my wife who has been on skis since she was 10. after one season I booked 6 days lesson with ESF. Was with beginners for one day but was told off and transferred to Advance group. I always loved playing off sides of piste and designated freeride terrain-not true off piste?Quiet, demanding terrain, i keep learning a lot. In Feb I am booked for off piste course. I like piste to practice technique only. I cannot carve- I don't care (it will come or not) i want to have fun but I am not stupid and i don't want to die.

I am sorry to rear about you ACLs and thank you for sharing your experiences. I had meniscus tear which is non issue compared to ACL. We only ski up to 20 days a year due to small children. However we fell/ultra run in mountains and prioritise sport activities over everything but children. It will always be surgical solution for ME unless I am too old(?) or dead.
