Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

@Riccardo, fair enough, a quick search does show @nixmap, has made about a dozen posts in the last 2 years unrelated to their "volunteers". So I take it back; Crack on with the posts looking to help you avoid employment tax, social security, pension, workers rights, etc...

@nixmap, that doesn't answer DotM point that apart from coming on here once a year in search of volunteers/unpaid workers, you contribute nothing else to the site.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name.

https://www.sport-conrad.com/en/specials/tiefschneetage/tiefschneetage-fieberbrunn/apparel/tested-items/ Some big bargains on kit from the Sport Conrad test event. Norrona, ArcTeryx, Dynafit etc. I took a punt on a couple of items. Despite these being from the test event, both appear untried and brand new with labels. Bit of a result at the price.

Can't really comment on the off piste level (though you don't sound like you should be in intro) but... On the buddie front, you could always do the EosB instead. If you really want to do some instruction, book into some of the clinics/guiding available.

Barryvox and Pieps seem to come out top in most comparisons/reviews. If you can borrow a set for the EosB there might be some bargains in the end of season sales. This might be a good deal though... https://snowheads.com/ski-forum/viewtopic.php?t=142655

The SFaB2019 is on in VT over those dates. You should find plenty of ski buddies there.

Did my first ever skin on mine last week at gnabug bash ( @Weathercam, you can take me off your list of people who'll never use them in walk mode). I had no real issues apart from one brake engaging after 10 mins climbing (guess I didn't click it in hard enough). A more experienced tourer on pin bindings commented on how much easier they were to engage the pins than theirs... and I'd never tried/tested before I had to. The single riser didn't bother me but then I don't know any different but the others in the group regularly swapping from one to two and back was annoying. Nearly 3 weeks sking on them in alpine mode now and had no pre-release.

@CathS, I'm confused (nothing unusual there then) as to how your ski bag not being loaded in Geneva is the fault of EasyJets Manchester handling agents. :~/

I do it regularly and never been a problem. Only once been asked by check-in staff if there was "just ski quipment" in the bag and I said yes and they accepted that. That was at Milan Malpensa flying with Flybe

As @loatie, says once through security there's a waiting room and a bus back to the main terminal. Went through there at Christmas. No queue for security either so worked out quicker than the huge line in t1.

@ianbradders, never had an issue. My ski bag is around 190cm @Bergmeister, that's odd as their carry on size is still the same as BA. easyJet standard is now smaller and it's anyone's guess what Ryanair's policy today.
You know it makes sense.
