Resort

The resort of Soldeu is situated on the main road through Andorra, which can get quite busy. With transfers from France's Toulouse airport taking approx 4 hours. It is part of the Grand Valira ski area which covers approx 190 km of piste, which has seen considerable development in recent years. Links are to El Tarter, Pas de la Casa, Grau Roig Access to the slopes and mountain is via the gondolla situated under the Sport Village hotel.

The ski / board school is praised by many, with many English speaking instructors.

Bars

Worth a visit include the T-bar, Pussy Cat, Iceberg and Aspen (a favourite of some of the istructors) most are on the main street. With the Pussycat often having live bands a few nights in the week. Soldeu is a little quieter than it's sister resorts of Pas de la Casa, there is still plenty to do. Watch out for the live bands in the bars, often made up of the instructors.

Accommodation

This varies from hotels to appartments. Hotels include the Sport Village, situated ideally on top of the base station for the gondolla up the mountain, the Sport (practically opposite), the Piolets and Piolets Park.
