Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Can I move my bindings forward?

Hi guys, I’m after some advice. I have my bindings on my K2 Public Enemies mounted pretty far back as I was using them for more All-Mountain skiing rather that park last year and this year I want to mount them further forward. Can I just unscrew them and mount them further up the ski or do I have to buy new skis?

d811yc, yes you can get the bindings moved. As I understand it, twin tips usually have the boot centre mark on the ski nearer the mid point of the ski to suit park. If yours bindings are set back from there for mostly non park use then simply get the bindings re-mounted to the center mark.

You can but they would need to be re-drilled. Skis don't like being drilled too often so make sure this is what you want, can you borrow some skis with centre mouted bindings first? IMO unless you're skis are mounted on the tail don't even sweat it, having centre mounted skis isn't going to make you a super jibber - just keep skiing them till they fall apart...

Ditto parlor, skis REALLY don't like being drilled - any hole in the ski reduces "structural integrity". Mr Manda got the bindings moved on his skis once - he was told the skis wouldn't withstand a further re-drilling.

Would longer adjustable bindings help?

This really depends on the contruction of the ski and the proximety of the holes to one another. As you have a K2 freestyle ski, no worries. Twisted Evil
