Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi there.
Flying into Friedrichshafen Airport soon and was hoping to be able to pick up a few goodies from a shop to take to hotel. Can anyone advise if there are shops availble for passenger arrivals, and what kind of shops they are.
Many thanks

Last time I was there it was pretty basic.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

wallyynot, lovely caff and pizza place, but absolutely zero shops, apart from a paper shop with a handful of small toys etc. Perfect! (I hate the shopping mall that is Geneva Airport with a passion.)

wallyynot, there is a small duty free section, for sure. But don't expect loads of choice.

There's a sparsely stocked kiosk at one end of the airport, sells a few chocolate bars and bottles of drink (not booze). The cafe in the middle looked ok though. It's a tiny airport so don't expect too much.

It's more like an airfield than a big airport. wallyynot, what would you want to buy at the airport that you couldn't either at your departure airport or at the resort?

Agree Nozawaonsen just thought it would be easier to get things after landing. Also, as I'm staying in St Christoph there are no shops there.

Pretty limited but you can get the basics. There are a few spirits and some wine (quite expensive as I remember). Some English books, magazines & newspapers. You can certainly get chocolate, sweeties and comics in German to improve your kids language skills.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.
